Well guys, I've read all the thread.

I have i900DXHH3 x 2 and can't update it even on Vista or XP.

Changed the PreConf code many times, lost all my data, downloaded thousands of FWs and nothing...INCORRECT VERSION.

What might be happening?

Hi, I've changed the thing to Singapore but I want to change it back to the UK - do I just do the same thing but select UK instead of Singapore?

The firmware code is split into individual sections:

i900 - > model designation (SGH-i900).

XX - > region / network carrier designation (XX = Spain - open Market).

G - > release year (E = 2007).

K - > release month (K = November).

Therefore current Uk Version i900XXHG5 is more up to date than the SG version DXHG4 with the DXHH1 version the latest.

My Samsung Omina phone has the following version. I tried to update following the instructions from the samsung mobile website. But I still being frustrated by the error message 'incorrect software version'. Wondering if you could assist me in getting my phone updated, I bought my phone in Jamaica with a mobile carrier named Digicel.

Hope you can help, I have a UK Vodafone branded Samsung Omnia and I am looking to debrand it. The version is currently PDA i900XXHJ6/ACHJ2, Phone 1900BUHJ1 and I am running Windows Vista. Could anyone help me in some easy to follow instructions on how to do this.

I tried to update to DXHK3 but I keep getting switching to usb success , port create failed! port 25, 24,23.......... Please help

My rom now is DXIA1/PV13M and the phone is DXHK3 .

I cannot seem to get the port create to work.

i'd bought omnia in indonesia..

first version is DXHJ1..

after that i upgrading my omnia version into DXHL2 by lufeig..

when i want to upgrade into DXHK3 from samsung official site, it's said 'Incorrect Version' or something like that..

i already followed the instruction from post 1 but it's still same, still pop up 'Incorrect Version'..

Can anyone help me? :):(

I own an omnia. The firmware is i908ZHHH4 so it is from hongkong.

But on the label under the battery it says i900.

Can I flash this phone to i900 or will this likely damage the phone?

Can anyone explain how to use regedit? I have been trying to do this but no luck.(noob) My phone is DXIA1 and phone is DXHK3. I can't seem to flash to matching pda and radio. Now my phone will not charge. Downloading goes all the way but then "port create failed"

How to solve "Incorrect software version!"

First check ROM version, you'll need it later (To find your Omnia version, please click Start Settings System tab Your version of Omnia menu. )

My first ROM was: PDA : i900XXHI1/XFHI1 - PHONE i900XXHH9

Second: PDA : i900DXHJ1/DXHJ1 - PHONE i900DXHJ1

Third: PDA : i900XXHJ4/MSHJ1 - PHONE i900XXHI5

What i did to change it from DXHJ1/DXHJ1 to XXHJ4/MSHJ1:

1. Change the phone to UK (thanks to Paul's post - http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-r...re-version-fix/ )

Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer

With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#

Select 'Preconfiguration'

Enter code *#81230*# and select OK

Select 'UK', with the default Operator

Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET

Run update, and all should be well.

2. Change the version in the phone's registry (from DXHJ1 to XXHG1 - to be inferior to XXHJ1, otherwise you'll get ".. already the latest version ..." message)

- upload regedit.exe to phone

- change HKCU\Control Panel\Version\CustomVersion from DXHJ1 to XXHG1

3. Execute the update file taken form Samsung and leave it open, then browse to "C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp\IXP000.TMP\" and copy UPDATE.exe to Desktop.

4. Hex edit UPDATE.exe. (i've used xvi32)

- open file in editor

- scroll to the end of file

- search up (or from end) for i900XX

- change the second result to i900DX

- save and exit

5. Flash the phone using hex edited UPDATE.exe .

6. Change back to your country. (see step 1).

I have dump mi omnia rom with the command "psdread -1 0 0x8095800 i900LVNHJ4.img". It was apparently successful.

But I get an error trying to restore it with Miracle_VL.

Is there a way to split this image, and then create a flash executable with the kitchen or edit it in some way and flash back to the phone again?

I tried first changing to Singapore as many other in many threads said, but it didn't work. How's that possible?

Some guys changed their FW each time a new one was release and I have my Omnia since October and still waiting for a solution.

Did HARD RESET more times than what I've reformated my PC in my life.

Tried with Vista and with XP, and both OSs is the same. INCORRECT VERSION.

Minutes ago tried again and using DZ firmware told me that I already have the latest version. Currently I have DXHH3 and of course there are more updated FWs..

Went to registry and there are no records under VERSION in HKCU-Control Panel-Version...

HOW CAN I UPDATE MY PHONE!=!=!==!==!=!)!)!)!!=!?!?!?

i've got a T-Mobile UK (i900XXHH7 / BOHH5)

phone: i900BOHH2

i am looking to upgrade the rom to the latest ROM which i belive its DTHJ5. i have downloaded the ROM from the thread, the Modem drivers etc i just wanted to ask as BOHH5 does not get reconised on samsung;s site as a correct version, am i ok to go ahead with the upgrade or has anyone managed to upgrade their T-mobile BOHH5 rom yet?

Hello, I received my brand new i900 from USA with this version:

PDA : i900DTHJ5/DTHJ5

PHONE i900XXHJ1

I live in Argentina where every body talks about the last Spanish version...XJHJ2

I was trying to update from DTHJ5 to XJHJ2 doing the following:

1) The Preconfig process

Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer

With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#

Select 'Preconfiguration'

Enter code *#81230*# and select OK

Select 'Spain', with the default Operator

Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET

2) Change the version in the phone's registry (I used PHM Registry editor)

Go to: HKCU\Control Panel\Version\CustomVersion

Change value from DTHJ5 to XJHI1

3) I downloaded from the official site the XJHJ2 ROM for Windows Vista OS

I execute the official XJHJ2 ROM (Windows Vista version).

After all that I still get "Incorrect Software Version".

Please anyone who can help me with this issue???

radio/phone of omnia is off

Hello everybody

I'm a owner of Omnia (8G) and during an upgrade with protugeese Rom something went wrong with GranPrix and now my Omnia has no Radio/Phone. It is only a PDA now!!

I tried everthing(Hard Reset, Flashing again)

I have put other Roms but when it arrives at Radio/Phone part software stops and gives error (open com failed!!)

My Omnia now is an a pda ONLY. No mobile Phone, No Gps.

Can anybody please help me with this.....THANK YOU for all suggestions
