Use the latest italian ROM you can find at the first post in this thread (XIHI5). The downloader coming with that ROM doesn't check the ROM region, so you can flash any i900.

Ciao!

Many thanks for your help Panateo but the situation is always the same, i tried flashing the 2 italian ROMS from the first page

but the update runs but he freezes with this message

Hi

I have had my Omnia for a couple of weeks now. UK T-mobile 8gb PDA: i900XXHH7/B0HH5 phone: i900B0HH2. I have SBP mobile shell 2 installed (love that) and Tomtom using Gpsgate2.5 (OK but lock is a bit off sometimes)

I have had pretty poor battery life since new - fully charge overnight and with even fairly light use (and I turn off all GPRS/HSPDA connections as I exit programs) by night time there may be just 20% remaining.

Has anyone successfully upgraded to HI1 from same firmware as I have? I have downloaded the HI1 exe file and it looks like it will just run in XP (using vmware on crappy vista) without resorting to Grandprix etc. Is it OK to just run it or are there other steps required for the move from B0HH5? Does this update include the radio HI2 or does the radio have to be updated later?

This is a fantastic forum and I spend TOO much time browsing it!

Hi for All. may be some one tested last F\W DXHI2 ??? what youreimpression?

been using it since the first hour, exactly same as HI1 from the outside, a bit sluggisher, the disappearing of the "My Storage" came back to me twice so far, and it hanged once.

If you don't have problems with Hi1, don't upgrade yet... oh, that's only my opinion...

Ok well it's not a config setting... I'll try a Hard Reset on spare time later this week ;)

So well found the time for a Hard Reset yesterday, and now I have the Red/Green power LED working again for Charge/Battery status. But still no vibration on call nor SMS when the volume is set to Vibrate mode... as I haven't changed any registry entry this time to perform a test, blanc new from Hard Reset nor installed any apps  still not working...I don't get it, anyway... :( never had this on any of my previous HTCs... and as vibra feedback works on other notification, like screen touch or key press, it may only be Software setup... anyway, I'll try next flash again if I still have an issue or not... :D

Just a question.

Ive got DXHI1 now. I seem to be experieicing a few problems (could be my fault, not sure =/).

Is it ok to run the DXHI1 exe installer once more i.e. install on top of this to get to the original DXHI1 settings?

Try this:

1. the phone must be switched off

2. connect it to the PC via the USB cable

3. Run the updater

4. Switch on the phone

5. Click "Start" when it became available

6. Cross you fingers ;)

Wondering what will be the first HG1 (Oct.2008) Rom ;)

French, hopefully, we're still running on HH2 or HH4 which eat through battery like mad, has poor GPS performance and a few other annoying glitches  ...

Hi Frenz

I am very confused. I had a new Omnia on HH3 by default and I tried to flash it to HI1 and ended up getting the following message:

I thought I had lost my phone for ever. But luckily it did start again, now its moved to

DXHI1 on PDA

DXHH3 on Phone.

Have I got the desired result? Or Should I have got DXHI1 for both PDA and Phone using the DXHI1.exe ?

Is DXHI2 recommended in my case to move to the latest rom?

Seems you donĀ“t install the samsung modem driver?!

Or maybe a firewall, but i think its the driver.

Am I in trouble because of that?

Should I try all over again?

Probably due to the driver, i've encountered it several times as well. Try to reinstall the driver, during updating, unplug other usb devices (ie, ext harddisk) except the omnia. Works for me this way ;)
