How's 6.5 coming along guys? Haven't stopped in to say hey in a little bit. Still trying to keep up with the latest and greatest with winmo even though I don't have my Omnia any longer.

I check this site everyday for Sector's update and if he hasn't updated then fine I continue to use his older Roms. I can't understand how rude some people are who expect everything for free and as quickly as possible. I just want to thank sector and the others again on this site who have turned what was a disappointing phone into something I can be pleased with.

If you want something done then pay for it you cheapskates out there.

Why do you think the big jump in the release number to 23409?

Thanks,

Ron...

From Da_G of the xda forums:

230xx and 234xx are both part of the COM branch.

234xx is the newer "COM4" branch, and 230xx is the older "COM3" branch.

"newer" and "older" in this case just meaning that one came before the other one. But not necessarily that it is newer chronologically (it is possible for an older branch to have a newer build for example)

It took some time for work to finish in COM3 and the changes to be merged up into COM4, so we stayed with COM3 for some time. Now the merge has taken place. So, we proceed with COM4.

Does anyone know what the term "timebomb" means? On XDA Dev they say all the latest builds have a "timebomb" and you need a patched shell32...

On my phone, after some days of using it, the build 23034 started asking me frequently to connect to the internet to check for updates. Is this the "timebomb" or is it something worse?

Hi Sector.

What phone.bin you are using? I read, that the new MS builds are working with BHIC2 better than with DXID1.

You can test the difference? Maybe you can cook in the next ROM also a phone.bin.

Timebomb means that after a certain period the build will expire. For example if you set the clock to 2011 you wont be able to work the Windows, like in any trial application.

My roms are not timebombed though!
