I am aware that I will need to buy a SIM card to put into the phone and was informed that I need to unlock the phone first. Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 10, 2009 Report Share Posted October 10, 2009 It depends on what frequency your network uses normally each network will have a roaming partner so you can use a local network to make calls on your account. As you are on Orange then as far as I am aware you should be ok to use Orange in the UK. But not all devices are network locked. If you are only on a short trip then it may be cheaper to pick up a budget phone and pay as you go sim. You can buy this cheaper than some of the SIM unlocking sites that people attempt to spam here.
