Guest redeyes717
hi guys, as most of you know Droid has been OC to 1.1 GHz (!!) from Batista70 Blog: http://www.batista70phone.com/?p=6743 Up to now we're sitting down and patiently .. watching ('cause we own a Milestone)... :) does anybody know whether there could be some (good) news in this direction for our phone? Guest Jonnyw2k
actually 1.3GHz :) http://androidandme.com/2010/01/news/droid...e-still-faster/ I think you just need setcpu and a rooted milestone to overclock not 100% sure on specifics http://www.pokedev.com/setcpu/ Edited January 30, 2010 by Jonnyw2k
Guest redeyes717
not so easy, Jonny. B) the problem is that all Milestone filesystem is signed by Motorola (that didn't release the signature up to now). without that signature we cannot write the custom image that includes the custom clock frequencies for the TI OMAP Milestone processor including frequencies over the 550 MHz limit. The Droid has no signed filesystem and people re-wrote the image files with the higher frequencies. SetCpu can OC the processor only with those files.
