Is it necessary to partition the sd card with this?

It isn't necessary to partition the SD Card in any FroYo based ROM because Google's implementation of AP2SD is built into FroYo.

The reason people still ask for the old school AP2SD+ to be implemented is because Google's AP2SD has some drawbacks, being:

  • Froyo installs applications to the FAT partition of the card, which only gets mounted as the device gets to the "desktop". Any system applications or applications with widgets that you have on your home screens need to load before this time. So they fail to load.

This means you need to think about which applications your device needs at bootup and which applications you use with widgets and keep them stored on the phones internal memory.

Thank you for that information, now I know why my widgets never worked properly when I used custom roms. rofl

Am running it, and so far it seems good. Pretty much Stock 2.2 release from HTC with the addition of root and no touching of your hboot.

are u still working to try to root the new ota also?

I am, but I think people like Paul & the unrEVOked guy's will have better luck at getting a root solution then I will.

Until that point, I will enjoy my WWE Froyo.

hey klutsh does this rom have the market fix??? or just HTC default...

also if you know what are the new settings on the new 2.09 build.prop

ro.ril.ecc.HTC-ELL=92,93,94

ro.ril.ecc.HTC-WWE=999

ro.ril.enable.a52.HTC-ITA=1

ro.ril.enable.a53.HTC-ITA=1

..

ro.ril.vmail.23415=1571,BT

...

dalvik.vm.lockprof.threshold=500 (this is removed from the bottom)

This is just as the OTA came, so HTC default.

As for the build.prop

ro.ril.ecc.*, are country specific emergency dial numbers, ie 999 for all WWE locations, but 92 etc for ELL where ever that region code is used.

ro.ril.enable.a5*.HTC-ITA, I think (not sure) that enables the audio codecs for the ITA region.

ro.ril.vmail.*, looks like it has something to do with BT in the UK and it's voice mail, with 1571 being BT's Voicemail Service, (BT Answer 1571)

dalvik.vm.lockprof.threshold, not a clue, sorry

I hope you get back your Root.

So flashing back the old 1.15 Rom will not downgrade your hBoot?

I'm sure I will at some point, thanks

No flashing the 1.15 or 1.21 update result's in a hboot version error.

Not sure if this is cause my device originally came with a hboot 0.80 or not.

in addition do you know how the market can be fixed with the build.prop ??? i tried every thread on xda but no results!!

the problem i have is with the apps i have in /data/app directory (i put them there when i baked the rom) is there a problem with chmod permissions maybe ???

Camera doesn't work.

Nor does video.

Radio is latest.

Downloaded Delite 0.2 but once installed under software number it says Froyo Delite r0.1?

Ignore the version in the software number, I forgot to update it.

Are you using the Radio I posted in this thread?

What happens, Reboot, just not work?

Camera and video is working here. Did you do a wipe when you installed?

Camera is working for me.

Everything seems to be working perfectly for me.

I flashed over Paul's r5 ROM and it caused GMail to force close on load, went back and did a wipe and reflash - worked perfectly.
