I didn't want to take the battery out without confirmation that nothing more would go wrong! All working properly again, now I've just got to sort out this rooting thing! I was told the phone was rooted and indeed the ninja icon is shown but when I open it, it appears to be empty apart from the title saying superuser permissions and when I press preferences it shows up two options Tap action and Notification. For example returning to absolute basics How do I make my Mac recognise that the phone is connected via USB? It charges but there is no acknowledgement that it is otherwise connected.
