peelie 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 so got apps to install to sdext on 0.4 rom by circuitious route! what i did: 1. install richard arkeless (based on tom's 0.3 rom) 2. used dta2sd to move dalvik cache to sdcard (i have a class 6 card) 2. ran froyo a2sdext script (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/2636-froyo-a2sdext/page__p__24386#entry24386) 3. tested apps can be moved to sdext and then can be installed automatically to sdext 4. nandroid backup 5. flashed 0.4 rom 6. seems froyo a2sdext works :P but dta2sd can't be run - gives no command found error so happily using 0.4 rom now with foryo a2sdext, dalvik cache on sd card and i have 88.64mb free on internal :D
twrock 93 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 I just tried vignette, but the free version only allows low res. Using Camera Magic it dies on the 3rd photo instead of the second, but it still dies. I have tried a lot of other camera apps, and never had success with any of them at 3mp resolution. But, all of those were free apps. So I have not tried the paid version of Vignette either. Incidentally, the free version of Vignette crashed even on its default resolution for me. Seems there is some inconsistency around this issue. Thanks for keeping work going on this rom. mdzguy 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 Hi, I need help about oc kernels. I'm from Argentina and I've seen that the only way to make the oc works is installing the official uk update first witch has not support for latin 3g frequencies. Instead of that I have to install the Venezuelan update but everytime my CPU is over 672mhz my phone reboot and if the CPU is set even higher it bootloops. Any suggestion on how to solve that? starkos 1 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 I just tried vignette, but the free version only allows low res. Using Camera Magic it dies on the 3rd photo instead of the second, but it still dies. I'm on 0.3 using the paid version of Vignette & I just took about 11 photos. I also opened the stock camera app during testing & took 1 photo, which did not effect the continuous usage of Vignette.. weird the free version doesn't work (confirmed by twrock) :P

calculate 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 Both dta2sd and froyo a2sd work for me. Do you have checked function with a2sd check? I'm thinking it doesn't work. ciao. calculate
AntonioPT 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 or i can download DT A2SD please dtapps2sd-2.7.5.2-signed.zip You can install it by flashing it in the recovery. You must create an ext2 partition (also in the recovery) in order to use A2SD. A2SD will install all of your apps to the SD card, so you can have much more apps installed on your phone. Richard van Nieuwenhuizen 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 Its still the same link. I replaced the file on the server. Thanks Tom G. That 1 works for me now. Since the CyanogenMod however, the pesky "ring-tone delay" issue came back. In the FibbleSan 1.7 I did not have that problem. Solution...anyone?? totiadrenalin 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 Without dta2sd it's no problem, but I want dta2sd ;). Let's hope anybody will find a solution. As always. The problem with dta2sd is out of system memory. The only thing you need to do is to move the RomManager.apk from /system/app to /data/app/ And you will be able to instal dta2sd then, with no problems at all. totiadrenalin 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 wonder if dalvik cache on sd card runs, when dta2sd doesnt work? And dta2sd is simply symlinking the apps and the dalvik-cache.
