I emailed O2 back in late November for unlock code but didn't even get a reply from them. I couldn't wait any longer & sold my Streak just before Xmas.

Anyway today I check my email & low & behold I have an email from [email protected] with the unlock code for the Streak. A bit too late for me but I'll pass it onto the chap who bought my Streak.

But I'm live in Vietnam and here do not use O2 network!!!

So, with the following information I can't, who can help me a number of information:

....

- your O2 Pay & Go mobile number

- two frequently dialled numbers

- last four digits of credit/debit card

- last Top-Up amount, date and method

- current credit balance (dial *#10# to find).

....

Who can help my 1 acc information O1, all cots i'm it's active.

:D right use the form on the o2 website they unlocked my streak in 4 days on contract. And the email was sent from webcare team. No charge and bought device from cex. If on pay and go buy 20 credit make some calls to activate then fill out form under device select other then put in dell streak. As o2 charge 15 to unlatch. It is a eight digit code and your device will automatically pick up new carrier settings I am now running vodafone uk no problems on 2.2. I used this forum for ideas and hassled o2for days but original form did the job and customer services still none the wiser quoting they will call me in 48 hours and checked they don't know that I got code already lol.they don't communicate internally. ??

Patience!! No one here has Sagar's personal email address. We've all been mailing the mycare address. There are some of us here who got the unlock codes yesterday that have been waiting from late November! You'll get it as soon as O2 gets it! I don't think you'll have to wait a month or more like some of us had to though. Just send them a follow up email if you haven't already. And mention your IMEI number in the email.

why don't you address your email to SAGAR by putting his name in the title?

it's good to do some follow up emails as I don't think I would've got my code if I did not send them my last email to check the progress of my code.

I'm going crazy .....

First I got the reply to top-up my on the go account etc...

Then I replied that this is not possible for me as I left the UK and I gave my O2 card to a friend.

Read their reply !!!!!!

To get your Dell streak unlocked, you need to have an O2 Pay & Go SIM card as #15 is taken off from your current credit balance.

If you don't have any Pay & Go SIM card, then I can send a free SIM card to your friend as we only deliver SIM cards to UK registered address only. If you want this please reply to my email with the following

information:

- your friend's complete address along with the postcode

- his contact number

After receiving a new O2 Pay & Go SIM card, all your friend will need to do is, Top-Up and make a chargeable call to activate it. And also, maintain a credit balance of #15 for unlocking Dell streak.

Then he can send this card to you in abroad. You'll then need to use an

O2 Pay & Go SIM card in your Dell streak and then request for it's unlocking.

It'll take 28days for your Dell streak to get unlocked.

:D !!! ???

That's a new one!! Just reply with "Attention: Sagar" or something like that in the subject, and mention that you've read on a couple of forums that O2 has now started unlocking Streaks and that you'd like to get yours unlocked. No matter what crap you get from O2, keep at it till you get a reply from Sagar, or one of the other people who have now started giving out the unlock codes.

Just got my code today. Now running streak with no simlock.

As for the timeframe - they confirmed that they would supply the code the 22.dec and recived it yesterday.

So - if you got the confirmation - just wait. :D

p.s - i didnt pay for the code - as i dont have a UK number they can charge.

Sagar isn't the only one who's been giving out the unlock codes lately. Sagar did respond to my email saying that the codes have been requested and everything, but when I finally got my unlock code, it was from a guy called Yogesh. A few other people have also gotten their codes from Yogesh. And I also recall a couple of people getting their codes from a guy called Nilesh. So your chances are better now since so many people seem to be giving out the unlock codes.

For the people in the US like me and have Att just dial 611 from your phone and hit 0 until you get a real person, Tell them you want to unlock your Streak and supply the IMEI. They will give the unlock code immediately.

hi, i've got the unlock code from o2 this saturday and it took only 1 day. here's how i did it:

i emailed [email protected] directly from my gmail and my subject was "to Mr Sagar regarding Dell Streak unlatching."

I've got this address from a friend that needed his Dell Streak unlocked and as I'm in the same position I'm writing to you.

I have a Dell Streak mobile, locked to o2, but I'm from Portugal and need to go there some times during the year (I'm going next week) and need to use my portuguese SIM card. I would like to ask you if it's possible for you to send me the unlock code, I've tried to fill in the form in the o2 website (middle of December) but had no reply so I'm trying to write directly to this email.

I had a big nooobie Q cause I have never unlocked any of my phones before..

will getting the unlock code affect my current o2 sim, contract, etc??

as in if I continue using my o2 sim itself it doesnt make a difference right??

no, the only difference is you'll be able to use a sim card from any network, it's a win-win situation :D
