Guest benzo
A long long time ago, there was a war between a member of this board who said he was releasing a game called Kumite and the moderator of another MS mobile website who said the release was never going to happen (vapourware). Who won the war of words in the end?
Guest awarner
That was between midnight and the stalker owner of the now non-existant MSmobiles. MSmobiles now takes you to http://wmpoweruser.com/ which is a much better site. Basically the game would have been released and I have played a version of it so Ipersonally know it was a real game. The problem was that manufactures decided not to implement diagonal control of the D-pad and the game relied on diagonal movement.

I remember he was a graphics guru non? I have to say awarner, Paul is very lucky to have you as a mod. Your dedication to the WM forum has kept this place ticking over when Paul himself would have probably let this section crumble.
Guest awarner
MSmobiles just fadeed in to the mist, all the posts were just copyied from other sites and eventually it was never updated. One day it just started re-directing to the new which site is far better and not twisted into a love/hate campaign. Midnight went to start a new career an did not have the time to visit the site any longer. As I have never been into ROM flashing the site has evolved into a different creature it once was, new users generally only ask about flashing and nothing else so I am left with trying to keep the site as spam free as possible and to also keep the piece. The community is now around specific devices rather than people in general as such, it's a shame it has gone that way but with the global membership and general numbers it's not surprising. We do have some great moderators though which help it's not just me :D one day I'll get paid lol (only kidding Paul)
Guest midnight
Boo! Yup, Awarner is correct, Kumite was in quite an advanced state of development but with no strict specs for Windows Mobile many manufacturers not only left out diagonal controls, which in itself is bad enough, but also made it so that you couldn't even press two hardware keys at the same time. I'm glad to see MS taking a stricted approach to minimum hardware specs this time and also pushing games pretty hard (and quite rightly so)
