In my mind apps2sd is the way to put apps on the SD Card but on the Fat32 partition with all datas, music, videos...

To use a2sd from Metalounay, you must create an ext2 partition on the SD card, so totally out of all mess you can have on the fat32 partition. This ext2 partition will be seen by the phone as its own memory (no limitation for apps with widgets).

Not also that I always encounter issues when using "standard" apps2sd: some apps desapeared... this never happends with a2sd.

so we will have performance improvement when using a2sd ? thank you all :D

It will not improve performance, you will have more space for apps, that's all.

To me it improves performance about time to open application..

I notice that when opening big games like Nova or Ft racing

Don't you think about that?

Maybe your SD is not enough speedy :/

Hi, 1st Post :D

as my Metal notified me, that there only some space left, my idea is deleting the Breeze Interface, since I dont't use it.

How can I do that?

Today I'm using the Stock 1.100.24 Rom with the Metalounay Kernel.

I need the the ADW Launcher, as well as Acer Sync App and other things from Stock, so flashing the pure Metalounay wouldn't give me that satisfaction...

The Metalounay Kernel is apps2sd enabled, right? As second option to solve the low space problem I can use the provided Scripts?

Thanks so far @all - good work here :D

It's the same thing.

Just a different typo.

Based on my knowledge...

The one which requires an ext partition is a2sd, or app2ext

The one which comes with 2.2 is app2sd

isnt it?

I heard that using app2ext would have greater performance too

BTW, will there be a cyanogenmod rom? I sincerely hope there would be one :D

vache, will you release a new kernel for 2.2 ? thank you. i'm very interested on your last kernel(test_BFS).thank you :)

Nop, i will add it (BFQ one, tests was good) as default in next release, but i have no plan to work on it right anymore, i'll wait for 2.6.35.

You don't need it on metal.

If you really want to use it, try with 64Mo.

1.why we don't need? because RAM is 512mb on metal?

2.can we install ubuntu on metal?sorry out of topic
