Mine takes 63.06s to write system.img

What code have you entered into fastboot so far?

fastboot –w

fastboot erase system

fastboot flash system C:\system.img

That's where I'm at.....

hm, never had that :s

does it say sending or writing?

It's still only sending....

though I feel that it might have something to do with my laptop overheating!

Might have to take it upstairs to my pc....

Hm, ,which side do you have the phone plugged into on your laptop ,

XP , Vista or 7

and how many USB ports are on the side it's plugged into on?

Now upstairs on my main PC.....

Had the usb in the same port as for 2.2 upgrade, but my laptop overheated....D'Oh!

So, erase and start again!

Am I right in thinking that everything works fine with swift droid v1.3 public minus the fm radio and video playback or are they still issues with gmail and the market.

With google apps, can you copy it over to the sd card, and then install with file manager???

no sorry ,

you need to copy the .zip to the sd card and rename it 'update'

restart into recovery (home+power)

then use the volume keys to highlight update from sd card

then press the call button to select

use the back arrow , then click reboot :D

Ok so after installing the rom, does it contain the recovery option to be able to boot into recovery and do I do that by turning the phone off and then turn on holding down the home and power button.

You mean the zip? Or the unzipped folder?

When I boot into recovery.....I just get a black screen!

Heeeeelp!!!

Then, I have to take the battery out!

It has to be Zipped for Clockwork Recovery to recognise it

and also , i forgot to mention you have to install Clockwork Recovery

download the attachment and put it in your sdk folder (where fastboot is)

then its the same procedure in flashing the phone

but you use the command

flashboot boot boot.img
fastboot reboot [/codebox]

to enter recovery it's

(in android) long hold > reboot > recovery

(shut down) home + power

--------------

edit: 23:21 ; added attachment ;o oops

/jamie :D

Managed to get it to do the boot.img.......

But on reboot, it just stays black screen.

Giving up for now....but can't live without my phone!!!

And my 6 year old is gonna kill me if I don't get the market, and Angry Birds back on it!

I am SO sorry.

I've renamed the file boot.img when it should be recovery.img.

I am so sorry.

If you still have the 2.3 files , re flash the boot.img image by

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot restart

THEN when it restarts ,

go back into fastboot mode

then using the PREVIOUS attachment STUPIDLY CALLED BOOT.IMG

Rename it as recovery.img then;

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot restart

Once again , i am SO SORRY.

hope it works fine ,

it worked on mine as i did the same thing earlier and saved it as the recovery.img instructions in my documents , what was i thinking!

Thats good ,

Glad I was of assistance.

I bricked my LG .. oops.

But LG are going to fix it as it was on their side > the LG Mobile Software updater .....

They would fix it even if you would do it via KDZ Updater, just lie to them, they have no way to check which method u used :D
