I normally have tasker take my wifi off with the screen but I just gave it a quick test and mine seems to sleep OK? At least it won't awake from keypad presses for me.

Someone on another site reported a sleep issue with an earlier build. If there's a fault there it will be in the new kernel - has anyone else had any issues?

My phone also doesn't sleep with wifi on. 2 zte blades, fresh install (full wipe and format of everything, no app's on background). This happens with your march 8 kang build... i don't know about other builds...

Battery calibration is a myth

It is not a myth, but the method is wrong. When you flash the rom the battery will be calibrated after 3 charge cycles. The battery life gets better. Wiping battery stats wipes battery usage statistics.

Burgerz new roms seems good. Issue with soft button disappearing post reboot is now resolved. songs play loud and crisp. not sure if it was that way earlier!

changes below in Burgerz's next below:-

  • NEXT BUILD — 13MAR:

1. Revert back normal audio support w/o Sony XLoud2. I’ve tested Sony Bravia and this engine seems to be good for image processing, may be it could be included in my ROM (I’ll test it myself)3. Add support for CenterClock in CyanogenMod Settings (w/o SoftButtons, coz SB is useless for our device)4. Improove some 3D graphics speed5. Make the stock Launcher2 3D-looks

What languages are going to be included?

I use Burgerz's 05March version, and I'm pretty satisfied, but there are only a few langs in the 06March version. No information at all for the later builds.

Do a nandroid backup of your rom, run the 160mb system gen 1 to gen 2 tpt and restore your nandroid and you should be good to go. After doing this you will have 22mb less data space so it's important that you have plenty of free space on data before creating your nandroid backup.

From here:http://amphoras.co.u...oads/blade-tpts G1-G2 v10a should be enough for CM7

v10f will be enough for ICS if you use a mini gapps

stock if you want full gapps.

Thank you so very much, problem solved.

I'm not sure what to advise. It's simply CM7. I mostly don't modify my builds. That latest one does have the new faster graphics libraries but they;re unlikely to affect wifi. Here's the version before the new libs to test anyway: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dn5s956dn2xo68o

The wifi changed with the new kernel, so that's likely the culprit - in which case you'd also have the problem with the latest nightly. Have you tried that? http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/update-cm-7-20120312-NIGHTLY-blade-signed.zip

Here's a version from Feb before the new kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5xfilo3zdayteg8

Try squad zone's ROM @xda forums

Better battery life and lots of customizations like LCD density etc

"update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-Blade-KANG-13MAR-BurgerZ.zip (Beats audio, SoftButtons, 3D-lookish Launcher2, new Adreno libs)" is out'

It is only 84MB, so I guess there are no languages besides russian and english :( I hope I am wrong!!

Is it really such a pain to include all languages?

With your 20feb built and with the new Adreno libs my phone sleeps OK.

The fault is presumably in the new CM7 Blade kernel then. Not sure how you'd go about reporting that now the update has been merged and you're not meant to report issues with nightlies. It'd be worth checking the latest CM nightly to make absolutely sure that it's nothing I've done!

Your definition of calibration seems to be different from the usual batterystats deletion. So in that sense, you're probably right.

But...

Calibration (by deleting batterystats) is a myth. No amount of wishing, hoping, and belief in calibration will make it work.

Thank you the info, good link.

I take back my suggestion to 'DoubleM101' then :)

Try letting the ROM 'settle' for a few days then, maybe that will help.

Edited to fix spelling.

Sorry if I was too direct :)

But I do also still believe that roms have settle, like you said, before optimum battery life is achieved. That is, until someone proves otherwise.

Has anybody this problem?

Evrytime i flash one fo new kangs /cm roms (full wipe) it boots and when i try to install an app it reboots.:( But when i flash an older cm before the new one (dont have to boot it) i can install apps. I have this issue with newer burgerz brustlam and squadzone roms.

And to top it all, music always lags and skips with sqadzone rom (with updates). i tried ti with stock, playerpro and poweramp musik players and still lags with each (at 710mhz too).

problem solved, i did a tpt repartition :D

Being direct is the best way! ;)

I won't be spreading the wipe battery stat rumours anymore that's for sure.

In case anyone wants it...

Burstlam's CM7 N373X-35-fix3 (10 March)

http://www.mediafire.com/?k08b1q1hkhw21xz

Google translated description:

Kernel joined KSM support (see the 2nd floor patch description), has amended the Dalvik virtual machine.

Have acceded to update the graphics chip ADRENO 200 libraries

Added a sense of default from the start value, in line with the TOM version of normal is no longer black.

However, it seems V880 + in November or different floor, may be operating voltages or drive versions.

In addition, from 4.0 experience to join a hot restart mode. Hot restart it simply is a system restart, so much faster speed is.

Yes. When you pass 2000 posts on here they give you a crystal ball. :P I'm not allowed to share my knowledge though until I've determined if the question is a subtle violation of the first rule. :D
