Have you tried rooting it yet? Is the bootloader unlocked?

I haven't tried rooting it yet...

When I get home from work I'll have a PROPER play with it. Can't wait... :)

Also, I wonder if network unlocking will be the same sort of process as the ZTE SKATE unlock. (Finding a factory unlocked one and working from there)

Orange San Francisco II Unboxing & Product Tour

by davomrmac - I like this reviewer the most, he also made great OSF1 review.

Wow what a waste. Way too much bezel. San Fran 1 has better / warmer colour / contrast in your comparison shots.

The Monte carlo is understandable because you get the bigger screen, but this is just a blade with a 2 more megapixels on the shooter (yet no improved quality) and an overclocked CPU. They're also attempting to copy Sony Ericsson's design, though that's a plus or minus depending on taste I guess.

It's been a year since the release of the first san fran, at the same price point, they can do better than this :( Buying a new <£100 droid today, I would still choose the blade.

Way too much bezel. San Fran 1 has better / warmer colour / contrast in your comparison shots.

It's just an illusion, bezels on both have the same width. It looks wider because of flat design and there is almost no case bezel (just glass) where in original SF it's about 50% split of case/glass bezel.

Pictures, true that color/contrast looks better on SF1 but shots are painfully out of focus. You can adjust color/contrast in post processing easily, but it's very tricky to fix blurred pictures.

However, looking at the front, SF1 does looks better IMHO.

Any chance you could re up your version? Just cut it into 2 parts or 3!

Unfortunately, and shortsightedly, I recorded the video in 1080p and it took from 08:30 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon to upload to youtube. it is a 2 GB mp4 file. (26 minute 1080p video)

Sorry mate. I'll upload another one tomorrow. this time in a more sensible resolution though. :)

Sounds like an overclocked model, not an upgrade to me (OK LED flash is an upgrade, but probably the only upgrade?)

Here we've got Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman for less than 100 quid here, it's 1GHz processor that works with Flash natively, smaller screen, but much more snappy response overall.

ZTE should forget about the very same processor used in Light, Blade, Skate and now Crescent when big makers like Samsung are moving to the low-mid end range market as well.

I agree with you on that John, so I went and searched for the SE live for under a 100 quid.. Very curious were you can buy one that cheap though!

Three store is where, but you'll pay another £15 for the credit; no escape!
