What I do when testing battery is fully charge and drain the phone a few times and I'll time how long it's lasted each cycle. I then make changes and see how much it's changed, but honestly it's never enhanced as much as people would hope for. The main problem, in my opinion, is that the battery in the Skate is too small for it's screen size. Being biggest Atomic fan......i am sorry to say that ICS/CM9 with S3 kernel has far far far better battery than any other ROM on skate. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean for gingerbread it's hard to squeeze more life out of the phone when it uses a ton of battery by simply having the screen turned on and no tweaks or scripts can fix that problem. Can it be improved a little? Sure, if someone spent ages working on the kernel and recompiling 2.3.5 from source with optimization's applied, but it wont match up with ICS because that's already had loads of developers contribute to it.
