just had a quick read of this,

here is a flashable.zip to make things a bit easier, lt replaces the libcm.so with the one from the CM mentioned above

flash in recovery straight after your gingerbread ROM

ICS-To-Gingerbread.zip

make a back up first

Last night anzhi fired up a new CM7/GB Miui release with a sound fix.

There is also an ICS-to-GB fix zip.

I didnt have time to check but it is probably the tillaz`s one :)

Here`s link to the topic:

http://bbs.anzhi.com/thread-6440278-1-1.html
Here`s download:
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=348712&uk=2568365
and a fix for 2030 basebanders:
http://bbs.anzhi.com/forum.php?mod=misc&action=attachcredit&aid=3249269&formhash=f0401f53
(I`m guessing this fix is actually from Tillaz - few posts up :), so you can compare those) This is original chinese release, with chinese apps and keyboard. If you think it`s worth it, I can remove apps and fix keyboard (dont ask for more, it is beyond my knowledge:)) This morning I found my topic for JoyOS (a rom from Anzhi) on Anzhi forum. They actually made a topic for their own rom, with removed chinese apks, and named it JoyOS by Dakok. Unbelieveable :D EDIT: Well I was probably wrong about that fix from Tillaz yesterday. Just found another fix from:
http://www.anzhuoy.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=26813&extra=page%3D1
dated 24th February, by Liweijie.

Is anybody able to make a flashable zip to allow 2020 roms to work on the 109808 baseband? I would find it really useful.

Cheers.

I don't think it's so straightforward the other way around. Daz mentioned that his cm9 build needed a framebuffer hack to work on 109808, and hinted that it's not likely to be doable with stock-based roms.

Patch it for 2030 and upload if you can... with fixed keyboard... :) Or how to do that? Just to install this latest Miui on 2030 and than install Tillaz fix?

Yes, one after another (while in CWM)

Replacing chinese (or any keyboard) is not just

copying *.apk file to rom`s system/apk folder.

There are few extra steps more:

Open hwime.apk (or another keyboard) with 7zip.

Find files inside \lib\armeabi\

Copy them to rom`s system\lib\ folder.

Copy HwIme.apk to system\apps folder

To remove unwanted keyboard from rom

remove it from system\apps folder

you can also remove its files from system\lib\ folders

Which ones?

Those you`ll find in keyboard apk`s \lib\armeabi\ folder.

Easy :)

Thanks, Tillaz, that was what was needed. If enough people test this out and it proves fully functional, I think that a real breakthrough. I haven't tested Grt yet - not had time but in principal it should work. Why GB? The question is why not? There are perhaps security issue of which Daz might inform us but this is a single core Machine overclocked to 1 ghz (from 800 - its optimal state) with 1/2 gb ram - ain't to special. Why not? I use my ayce data to tether and its just to slow on gb.

Now we have a small collection of patches:

(don`t use that of Liweijie321 yet - not sure about it):

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4huyVgvdssGMlFhZU16OHNPREk/edit?usp=sharing
If someone could take a look and compare them, at least updater-scripts.

Now I`m sceptical a bit for GB roms on 2030 baseband.

I lost network on two GB roms on second day of using them.

After reboot it was back, but something is definitely wrong with this hack.

@Nickyteen:

I`m getting off gb roms for now.

That tutorial is a bit out of date.

Particularly with regard to bootloader unlocking - for that (if needed) you should go here: http://www.modaco.com/topic/362821-tutorial-how-to-officially-unlock-the-bootloader-with-definitions-relock-guide-included/page-17

Where are you getting "unknown baseband"?

What ROM were you trying to flash?

If you don't know what you're doing then read up some more first.

Hope this helps.
