Power button is too sensitive, I want to replace power key with any other hardware keys

Hi all

I have dell xcd 35 and I am running ICS based on cm9.unfortunately the power button is too sensitive and power widget appearing frequently and if I take any action it reboots everytime.

 

I want to replace the power key with any other hardware key if possible. or at least if I can disable power key.

 

Appreciate if anybody can help.

You could try ButtonRemapper http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464 , it hasnt been maintained for a while, but might work on your device. You will need root for this and make sure you have a nandroid backup in case it goes titsup and bootloops the phone.

Again, you need a rooted phone.
