I need a IDIOTS guide to help me get this A2DP on my C600, I have contacted orange developers who have sent me a zip file as per the instructions listed below from another post. I have carried out tis procedure below, but cannot get my i tech stereo headphones working, they work fine on my new m3100. As far as i can tell this zip file has application unlocked my phone as i have disabled within the accessories folder on the phone, exactly as the copy post below, can anyone explain what i need to do next as im a dummie on these things thanks

Unlock your C600...Sure! Just by sending one email.

I was desperately looking for a way to app unlock my C600 with the AKU2 update, until I sent a mail to [email protected]

It has been posted on this forum before but I'll quote it anyway:

Subject: SPV C600 Application Unlock

Dear Sir/Madam,

The unlocking site for Disabling the security (Application Unlock) for my SPV C600 does not work with my handset/iMEI (imei number is not in database)

Also the installation of the file ActionRegister.ARM.cab is not working because its either not trusted or no longer working

Could you send me a compiled unlock program for my device

Phone Model: SPV_C600

IMEI Number:

Full Name:

Mobile Number:

Daytime Contact Number:

Daytime email address:

Thank you in advance,

Just send your request and relax. They respond very fast to your request with a clear description on how to install the application and how to configure it accordingly. Within a day I received their personalized unlock tool and was able to fully application unlock my SPV C600 with AKU2 update.

Their program actually makes your phone ready to be unlocked.

To really unlock your phone, read the HTC Application Unlock Guide.

Please note!

By fully unlocking our phone, you must also accept the risks that come with it. Some applications will install nicely but seriously mess up your phone. If you use your Smartphone as an actual phone, you might want to be careful and have a backup at hand. If you really get stuck you can always reinstall the AKU2 update and do it all over again.

PS. There is a free program called Smartione with which you can easily edit your phone's registry. Registry editing is set to Read-Only by default. Also, by default, it keeps saying it's expired and that you have to get the latest version. After applying the latest update you just ignore it and use the program with no trouble at all.

You might also want to try WMStorage to see if you succesfully unlocked the phone to install any application that you wish. Quite handy if you move around a lot of nonsense, like I do

Good luck and enjoy your Smartphone!

Install the 2 cab files linked to in the XDA Developers thread, 4th link in my sig.

- Tornado_A2DP.cab

- Tor_A2DP_cert.cab

Reboot phone.

Turn on Bluetooth on phone and press and hold Home button to start Comm Manager.

Hit Settings, Bluetooth Settings, (Bluetooth should be On) Menu, Devices, Menu, New.

Pair headphones to phone following instructions in i-Tech manual.

Make sure Hands-free & Stereo options are selected.

Should be working now. Are you sure the headphones are compatible ?

I only saw one cab there, Tor_A2DP_cert.cab. Where's the Tornado_A2DP.cab? Dont say in the Tornado_A2DP.zip, because the only cab there is the Tor_A2DP_cert.cab. The only other cab listed in that 7 page post is a A2DPhack.cab which doesnt install on the tornado. I tried, im running Cingular on the US SDA, so it has to be app unlocked. You must have the imate_sp5m_wwe_2.6.331.2 rom installed before the tornado_a2dp.cab is installed.

hi i also installed the 2 cab files....on my 8310...however am having problems, the device seems to work for some time with my logitech headphones...but then windows media player crashes after a while, and when i reboot my phone i am no longer able to open any bluetooth settings or even go to comm manager, it just hangs.....what is the reason for this and how can i fix, when it works its great, but the after it starts to hang i have to reboot the phone serveral times remove the cab file and then reinstall...after serveral times of doing this it works again but then same result...its on the qtek rom..what am i doing?? should i upgrade to the sp5 rom?

1. You must have the AKU2 ROM installed - the Orange "C600_email" one in my case

2. 'De-cert' usually means application (or security) unlocking, 'unlocking' usually refers to SIM-unlocking (irrelevant in this case) - the one you want is achieved by running the program Orange Partners sent you.

There are 2 XDA-Dev links in the MoDaCo Thread - the one you want is titled "A2DP support on 818pro"

I don't know what the problem with the Qtek ROM is but that sounds like a good idea.

You might still get the problem but I'd guess it won't be as bad. For instance I get sound drop-outs and the occasional media player freeze using the Orange ROM and Pocket Player :)

You were right, me so wrong. Just fixed my SDA back to the Tmobile ROM from the imate ROM. For the Hurricane

1) ya only need the Tor_A2DP_cert.cab from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic....p=275438#275438

2)also the Tornado_A2DP.cab from:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48502

I didnt need the imate Rom after all. And just install the cab files to /my documents on device.Pretty sweet all in all! Only gripe is that the mp3/wma tracks stop & start at intervals during playback. Any fix for that?

My thanx to all who made it work! You are the best!

I think the jumps are due to low ram?

As it is hardwork for the smartphone too stream the music to the bluetooth headphones.

And that all the jumps will be resolved when microsoft release there official A2DP update in the AKU2.3 rom.

You're right, before I use stereo wireless w/ a media player, checking task manager, I've got full memory (28,000mb). After about 3 songs, it's down to 6,000mb. What a hog!

Does the e mail i received include the AKU2 rom update copy in my first post for reference, if it dosent can you give me a link to it

thanks

No it doesn't. Get it here : Orange C600 AKU2 ROM

I know what you're going to ask next :

1. Backup everything on your phone first as the upgrade will wipe it clean.

2. Make sure your battery is fully topped up before starting the procedure.

3. You run the updater on the PC while connected with ActiveSync.

4. Disable firewall first.

5. Read and follow the onscreen instructions to the letter.

6. Then run the software unlocker and install the 2 cabs.

AKU2.3 didn't stop music from jumping on the hermes, stopped when some reg values were adjusted but started again if you turned on wifi.

Having the same problem, what are the Reg settings you adjusted ?

Is there a definitive fix for the Hermes ?

So many questions for a first post......

I'm running at 44% on Prog Mem before I start WMP and then it jumps to above 80%. When it's cut out if I pause the playback and restart then it picks up straight away 90% of the time for about 5-10 secs then cuts out again.
