I have searched the net, there is no info on the Orange site that I can find either. Does anyone know what the SAR rating is on the new C550?

Suspicious Activity Report???

Specific Absorption Rate - you know the amount that means in twenty years time when people start developing tumours on their heads at alarming rates you can say 'damn, wish I'd used a phone with a lower SAR rating' :)

Just spoke to Orange media using the number of the front page and the jolly nice chap told me that the SAR rating is...

0.3 with headphones

0.62 without

Still a fair bit higher than my current K700 (0.48) but not as bad as my head frying previous phone T610 (0.80)

According to the Manual its;

SAR Value - CE(10g)

900MHz: Head 0.645 mW/g, Body 0.462 mW/g

1800MHz: Head 0.172 mW/g, Body 0.171 mW/g.

And on the side of the box it got 0.645 W/kg

It does not say anything about using a headphones!

Hope this helps
