Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Eek, my bad, old news it seems, maybe I should try and keep up with my own forum more... It was an innocent mistake, honest guv :) Yes, you heard it here first... there's a top secret 'Engineering Mode' on your MPx200 :P To enter this mode, simply enter *#**364# on your keypad then press the Green Button, and hey presto you will be in engineering mode. Quit the mode using the option of the right hand soft key :D Of course, we take no reponsibility for anything you do in this menu :D Screenshots to follow... Enjoy! P
Guest ClintEastman Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 That's as long as it's running 2002.
Guest dfruk Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 My mpx200 (WM2003) attempts to dial this code (and I get "Command not supported" from my Network operator) instead of running it locally on device. :)
Guest martin Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Great :P , this exactly what I'm looking for. All I need now is an MPX200 :) ** blows dust off cheque book **
Guest Bagpuss Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 My mpx200 (WM2003) attempts to dial this code (and I get "Command not supported" from my Network operator) instead of running it locally on device. :) I am running Smartphone 2002 and I get the same thing. Dave

Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I better everybody who reads this with any phone tries this code :) :P
Guest gryph0n Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Careful not to brick or screw up your phone in engineering mode. Just like to add that it is full of good information, but I messed around with everything I could at one point and almost bricked my phone, and now my phone will not accept a particular version of firmware (the version that I was running at the time of fooling with settings). Take it for what you will...
Guest ClintEastman Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 try -----> *#**364# That works on 2003.
Guest theanarch1st Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 hey clint, how do u mean those running 2003?? do you have an mpx200 with 2003? or u referring to another fone?
Guest squall Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 hey clint, how do u mean those running 2003?? do you have an mpx200 with 2003? or u referring to another fone? there was an illegal 2003 update for the mpx200 that has now been withdrawn.
Guest s0tz Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 tried to play around in engineering mode but fear to have my phone bricked.. i think alot of newbies like me would benefit alot if theres any experienced guy wil help in telling us wat each function did :) tia! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Toad Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Uh... this isn't new... I've known about this for months and it has also been discussed on other forums.... There are also other codes such as *#**837# which shows version info and *#**372# which is test mode and *#999# which displays the command log. There are also quite a few others, but they don't all seem to work on all ROMs. Also, don't take credit for being the first to find them; I'm a developer, and I know that I personally found some of them by trying stuff on my phone.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Yep unfortunately this was posted as far back as June where exosyphen posted the first code. Other codes are as follows * # * * 8 3 7 # Version info * # * * 3 7 2 # FQC * # * * 3 6 4 # Engineering menu * # * * 2 6 6 * 0 # Set as data COM port * # * * 2 6 6 * 1 # Set as log COM port * # * * 7 9 7 # Time to failure timer & Power down code * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 0 # Set to default Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 1 # Disable GSM Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 2 # Disable DCS Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 3 # Disable EGSM and DCS Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 4 # Disable PCS Band Wonder if this can alter the DualTri-band :? not tested so only guessing. Remember guys play at your own risk
Guest Toad Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Not all of the ones listed above will work on all ROM versions. Also *#999# which opens up the command log is not listed.
Guest martin Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Damn - Just for a moment there I thought someone had found a network monitor :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Yep my bad the one code I mentioned first I did not list
Guest AngelOfRage Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Just to confirm those codes above only work on Moto's and which operating system/ROM?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Damn - Just for a moment there I thought someone had found a network monitor :) Martin try this * # * * 3 6 4 # Engineering menu Then Options2 RR1 Cell InformationSummary

Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Eek, my bad, old news it seems, maybe I should try and keep up with my own forum more... It was an innocent mistake, honest guv :) P
