Guest James Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 well after reading a little about this little app and downloading it i have got to say i am mighty impressed! :) best thing that has happened to my SmartPhone since DooM! (just had to shout about it) its not a music player! have a look! Read FirePlayer Website Here You have to download the app 'free' from your phone through the Orange Today Website (about 300k) not too bad. you then have to download tracks to play on it... you have to use special tracks that have been made is such a way that each part of the track is a sample... then you load the tracks and start to enjoy!! fair enough £3.50 a track is not cheap, but its kept me and friendas entertained for a few hours.... you can also record you own mixes and save them as ringtones... all on the phone.. i now have all three Fatboyslim tracks on the website! Fatboy Slim - Retox Fatboy Slim - Star 69 Fatboy Slim - Talking About my Baby hope there are some more comming soon! i recomend this to everyone who has an intrest in Music/Mixing or similar!
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Had you not spent so much time researching the karma sutra you might have noticed this has been posted several times before  There may be even better in the pipeline though. Check this : http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1125...88898513fe82159 And my 11 minute Star69 remix is da bomb, muthascratchah ! 8)
Guest James Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 yeah, i was aware of that, i dont think those posts did it justice though :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Don't you find it a bit quiet, or is there a volume control somewhere ? :?
Guest James Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 i think its loud enough.... although i have to make sure the volume on the side and the volume in 'midia player' is right up before i load it :)
Guest James Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 P.S. have you tried the jaiemson tracks jet?
Guest agent.m Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 yeah, i was aware of that, i dont think those posts did it justice though  cheers! I made the first post :)
Guest spac3a1f Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 can someone post the complete url to the download link? I can´t find where to download it.. must I have a membership on orange Orange World page to download or something?
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 You have to go to Orange World on your phone. In the "Fun" (sic) section, choose "Music" then "Downloads" then "Fireplayer." Whether you have to be registered with Orange, I couldn't tell you.
Guest rickyburke Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 ive got jaimeson 'take control' its wicked!! at first i though 3.50 per track was a bit much, but when you think you can make a pretty much unlimited amount of mixes its pretty cool, something you can do anywhere to make the time fly! waiting for some more tracks ive actually heard of though come on orange!! anyone tried the darkness tunes?
Guest James Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Ye mate:- i have now got:- Fatboy Slim - Retox Fatboy Slim - Star 69 Fatboy Slim - Talking About my Baby The Darkness - Thing Called Love Faithless - Mass Distruction Liberty X - Jumpin Jaimeson - Complete Estelle - 1980 The darkness one is probably one of the best to be honest... if you look past the cheese factor :)
Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 fair enough £3.50 a track is not cheap That is taking the michael. A track of off itunes is approx 79-99p. How on earth can Orange justify £3.50? As well as GPRS charges? They can't. This will only survive whilst people are *stupid* enough to pay that amount..... And, of course, I have only mentioned legal downloads...
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Ummm  ...I've got the FBSlim, Midfield Geberal, Zero 7, Freeform 5 and Jamieson (cheers JLo :) ), but not having watched ToTP nor listened to Radio 1 (as it was called..) for ages, can someone give me an idea of what sort of music are the following : Estelle Raghav Two Culture Clash Kasabian Annie Look, I'm 43 alright, but am very much into house, breakbeat etc 8)
