Guest craigl21 Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 ANY IDEA HOW TO GET MMS WORKING ON MPX 200 FLASHED WITH SMARTPHONE 2003?
Guest carl_donaldson Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 How do i get the mms settings? mpx200 with wm2003 upgrade. Help please :-(
Guest Toe Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 You don't! Read around here fellas. MMS isn't compatible on the MPx200 WM2003 upgrade.
Guest zerosignull Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 serialkillazzs: ive used youre setting and now my wap and mms work (thanks) only one small problem with the mms though ... it keeps sending the mms! it wont stop till i powerdown thephone. any sujestions on hpow to fix this?
Guest serialkillazzs Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 zerosignal it should say message sent at very start for some strange reason then start sending ur mms via gprs, its just the way it is. dont now what its like with new e200 rom update, checkin it at the minute.
Guest serialkillazzs Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 sent mms there, bit strange but basically if it doesnt send u a balance notification and disconnect within a min or so just press the red hangup button and try sending and recievin it again in message options. then it should send
Guest zerosignull Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 i treid again and i think what was happeneing was that it was sending all the mms that had failed previously so i delelted ll the item in my mms folders. one thing though is that i am being charged for both gprs internet access and WAP and i have not used any of my free time
Guest serialkillazzs Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 check with o2 support, settings should be fine unless u left ur dialup connection on and forgot about it. with regards to GPRS u can either set ur account up with ur free texts and 300 dialup (wap) mins, or free texts with 1mb gprs bundled,if its set up for wap , then u get charged for using gprs per min. u cant have free wap and GPRS at the same time
Guest zerosignull Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 i emailed o2 the setting you gave us on the page and they replied (think this is improtant to ALL o2 user's): Check out the O2 Online Help Centre: www.o2.co.uk/help Dear "removed", Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service. Please accept my apologies for the preceding miscommunication. After checking your tariff details with us I can confirm that, your tariff gives you 1 Mb GPRS WAP services free per month, after which WAP will be charged as per your tariff package. I can also confirm that since you have accessed WAP through GSM via the dial-up number of +447712927927, your WAP connection has been charged. Prepay Online customers cannot move from the 1MB GPRS WAP monthly allowance to the 300 minutes GSM WAP monthly allowance. I hope this puts your doubts at ease about being inappropriately charged for accessing WAP. Please Note: Free WAP does NOT apply whilst abroad. This will be charged at the rate applicable for the country you are visiting if the service is available. .... just stuff apoligising for mis-understanding one of my email's edit: insidently my gprs is not working. i ahve used the setting's on the previuos page. help!
Guest coolrich Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 but on there site in there list of phones they don't have SPV's?
Guest MorphFx Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Hi, I got one of those Orange World Access packages with my contract E200 phone. Every month my statement shows I have 240 minutes worth of WAP that I never use but I am always heavy use of the GPRS and nearly use full 3mb. Is it possible to utilise the WAP dial-up minutes to access the full internet using pocket explorer??? If not can some one walk me through how to spend my 240 wap minutes by actually viewing a wap site using the e200?
Guest martin Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 bradwarduk To use CSD WAP dialup you just need the following connections (in Settings-Data connections. Description; Orange CSD WAP Connects to: The Internet Country Code: 44 Area Code: 7973 Phone Number: 100500 User Name: Orange Password: Multimedia Description: Orange WAP Proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy: 192.168.71.35:8080 Type: HTTP In data connections make 'WAP connection: Orange CSD WAP' In Internet Explorer, untick 'auto detect settings' and make 'Select Network: WAP network' This will now use the WAP dialup but remember it's only 9.6K data connection so it's a little bit slow :)
Guest MorphFx Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Cheers Martin that worked a treat. Now I can at least get me monies worth outta orange - I can use WAP to obtain news from the usual www sources (like bbc mobile) check email (mobile msn) etc - and also check my latest web cam security pictures - most of the time not in hurry for the data to download, i've always got the GPRS connection if I need the speed! Well until the flat-rate for GPRS petition is a success this will help - Nice one :)
