Think Outside Blutooth Keyboard

Hello - I went on the thinkoutside.com website and it said that from the 2nd of March that drivers are available for the Audiovox 5600 - I have tried to download and when I install on the C500 it comes up with an error message of not enough priveledges. I thought that the 5600 was the same as the C500 - Has anyone got this to work?

You need to application unlock your phone as it sounds like it's locked.

Go to the Orange developers site to app unlock.

Dont think this will work, i have mine application unlocked and get the same error, until Orange sign it i dont think it will work. Anyone know of a registry hack or something to overcome the need to have Orange Signed applications ?

Still not working with the C500 with the bluetooth version - keeping my eye on the thinkoutside website which said it would be available early april - keeping my fingers crossed!

Current info from Think Outside last week was that they are waiting for Microsoft and Orange to complete a testing and signing cycle on the drivers. I've had an unusable keyboard for about 10 weeks now waiting for these drivers so i'm not too happy as they were "expected to be signed in about 3 weeks" according to TO just after I bought the keyboard.

If it makes you feel any better the keyboard works great with a PC bluetooth connection so should be very good with the phone when its finally got the drivers- really easy to type with and much much nicer than my old squishy SPV mark 1 fabric keyboard was.

UPDATE

Think outside still say they are "waiting for Orange to sign the drivers they have had ready since March 1st, but Orange just sent me the following reply-

This does not bode well! I have a nasty feeling I am stuck with a useless keyboard.

(Incidentally there is no mention of a C500 keyboard on the website, I have heard rumours of a Bluetooth Elesen coming out so maybe it would be that)

I can advise you that Orange has no imminent plans to release software that will enable you to link your SPV C500 to your Think Outside keyboard.

It is possible to buy an Orange keyboard from our accessories line on 0500 178178 which will be compatible with the SPV.
