Those who would like to execute another file instead of the compose application ( Personal Information Manager )

1) copy your application/executable file (exe) to a folder (except \windows folder)

2) rename it to "LandscapeLauncherD.exe"

3) copy with total commander to \windows folder

4) say yes for "overwriting".

If you now press composer key, your application will run.

If you want the original behavior back, delete "LandscapeLauncherD.exe" from the windows folder.

I wrote a little program:

Overwrite with this file to act like a "\" key, espacially handy for networking stuff.

1) unrar

2) copy with ActiveSync to device (except \windows folder)

3) copy with total commander to \windows folder, and yes for overwriting

If someone needs another character or a little sentence , tell me.

AFAIK that key is hardcoded in driver to invoke LandscapeLauncherD.exe only, so it doesn't send any specific keycode.

It cannot send keycode from HW keyboard directly.

But may not it output keycode from an application (named "LandscapeLauncherD.exe") invoked by Compose key?

Yes, but I think only one hardcoded keycode or combination of keypresses (keycodes). That seems to be exactly what b7610_fan is doing now in his "LandscapeLauncherD.exe".

Did you ever press the composekey when you have typed a new sms ?

Start new sms , type several words, en press compose key. he will change all the letters :-)

But that isn't what it has to be, not all characters has to be replaced.

This afternoon I will change the behavior. ( thx to stn )

It will be:

when you type: lubie[composekey]

it will change the last letter to the correct one: lubię

I will update here also if polish v2 is ready. v1 was a succesfull test :)

the tab from your software keyboard is working for you? because in sms messages if you want a 'real' tab, you have to do a ctrl + shirt + tab

Ok. You can give a try to this. It is my small app that changes Compose to CTRL.

Install attached cab (there is no need to restart, so when cab installer asks about it just press Cancel) and run ComCTRL from Start Menu. It needs .NET CF 3.5 to work.

After that you can hide program by Hide button. To restore press "W&L" button 3x.

It is in early stage so if you have question, just ask.

Because of a way Compose button works there is a small lag between compose key press and CTRL code send. But for me it is quite usable. For example if you need CTRL+C just press and release Compose key make a small pause and next press C.

That solution has two cons (small in my opinion):

1. That small lag after pressing Compose key

2. ComCTRL.exe has to be running in background (takes about 700K of RAM)

i will use the tab to quickly fill inn forms (jump around). for example to add an appointment.

hi the TAB key mod is not working properly when i press it. It displays the t9 setup menu. I also wanted to suggest a replacement for " = " since it does not apear on the keyboard
