Guest Vic20 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 hey can help me...my hardware lock key is notworking and samsung service center says u have to change the board for it....?????? If the part could be obtained, desoldering/soldering something about half the size of a grain of rice without damaging the board needs specialist tools and skills plus a very steady hand. You'd need to find an independant 'fixer of phones' It might be possible to clean the switch with isopropryl alcohol if it isnt physically broken. Vic

Guest toxic92 Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Hey guys, i don't know if this one's the right thread, but i think some people with good technical knowledge are here. Well, basically i got a problem with the GSM/UMTS receiving of my Omnia Pro B7610. Some time ago thought i could improve the signal strength in areas with poor signal quality by modding the antenna. The result is that i have f*cked up the part marked in the attachment and my B7610 works in UMTS now only with a metal part from a binder stuck in this little part. Without it i get only very poor GSM signal even in cities. I know the whole improve-the-signal mod wasn't very wise and i regret it much :) My question now is: What is the part marked in the attachment exactly? As i understood when reading the thread, it is only for test purposes and not the actual GSM/UMTS antenna?! Could i improve my signal strenght by just desoldering it? THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ANSWERS!
