Guest BarryFell Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 For some reason my reminders no longer come up. They still pop up on my computer but I can't get my SPV to display them any more. (Either when docked or or undocked) Any idea anyone? I'm now forgetting to do things now!! ;) Cheers
Guest mvsmith07 Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I had this, but the other way round. My reminders would not work in Outlook, but would work on the SPV. You can try this, which cured my problem straight away, but remember my problem was Outlook not popping up the reminders: 1. Click START 2. Click RUN 3. Enter: outlook /cleanreminders This, apparently, cleans up any potential corrupt reminders in the Outlook data store. Found the answer on MSDN so Microsoft came up trumps with the solution there!
Guest BarryFell Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 Na that didn't work. I ended up having to do a hard reset which fixed the problem. Cheers anyway mate.
Guest wahblow Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 At last I have found a solution. The problem is with a corrupt appointment. I restored a backup of my appointments database via Orange Backup and hey presto appointments are reminding again
Guest daveni Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Afternoon all, I neer had this issue before until recently, tried a number of things, clearing out appointments, changing profiles etc., switching phone off/on - only thing that fixed it was changing the time, it was 15:52:31, changed it to 15:51:31 and suddenly reminders are showing again.. v.strange!!! Be seeing you, Dave
Guest kyrkesmith Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Is there any way to force this to happen? I'm usually with my phone at the computer, and don't really want reminders coming up on both. I still want them displayed on the homescreen though.

Guest agarosan Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I have the sam problem I buy The MPX200 ONLY ONLY to sync meeting with my phone and now, The phone do not allert me in any way this is JUNK. I find out that the phone also "reset" the reminder on outlook ... I'm Using Outlook 2003.. there is someone else that use other version of outlook 2003? or it's just a problem of this version? Antonio
Guest agarosan Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Some question: there is someone out there that is experiencing this problem with a standard Firmware? It seems to me that no american user have this problem. It's really annoing you cannot count on allarm with this phone. so we don't have any notice on the Microsoft newsgroup, nor in the american forums it seems that orange and "standard" mpx200 are the only one phones affected by this problem. I need to reset my time more than twica e day to havng the reminders pop up again!!!! any ideas??
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 The problem is 2002 OS related but is not that common, (as such) I have never experianced it in the past year+ of having a Smartphone.
Guest agarosan Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Ok , you are right is not so common so there is some strange condition that trig this problem, I'm a power users with more than 30-40 appointment every week, so this is vital for me but i still no understand when this problem happen... I wil switch to outlook 2000 (from 2003) but i don't think this is the problem. Antonio
Guest ferret Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Is there any way to force this to happen? I'm usually with my phone at the computer, and don't really want reminders coming up on both. I still want them displayed on the http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=714>homescreen though. Not sure if they'll still appear on your PC, but I just set the reminder time to 0, so they never pop up but do show as a homescreen plugin.
Guest mrdanne Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I got the same problem with reminder not working, but thanks to this thread it now works again. Just rewind the time 1 minute, wierd but it worked :D
Guest sdvick Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 I have an american version of the MPX200 and I'm having the same problem. Has anyone come up w/ a better solution than changing the time? Is anyone having a problem w/ this happening on 2003?
Guest robpow Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Had the same problem here, reminder wouldn't appear on the E200 (new UK firmware) but would pop up in Outlook, both 2000 and 2003. So I changed the time of the phone back a minute and then the reminders started working again. I guess changing the time somehow forces it to re-read the reminders? Turning the phone off and back on again didn't make any difference.
Guest yoos Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 This problem just happened to me again for some reason??? I've had this problem about 4 times now!! Must be something I'm doing or the appointments I'm getting are messing something up. I use power calendar (I'm not saying this app caused the problem) but yesterday I clicked on a new appointment that was put on their through the PC outlook that someone sent me and the phone just froze. I took the battery out, tried to open the appointment again and it froze again. After this my reminders no longer worked.... I restore from a Sprite backup and finally they work again. Next time I'll try the changing of the time by 1 min.
Guest present Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 this s*** is so gay... WHY is no-one there to fix this crap?... i get better support from shareware authors... or FREEWARE authors for that matter. Seems like the more you pay for a system the less support you get.
Guest fozzie Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) For the last few days, I've had the same problem on my C500. Thought it was related to the couple of hard resets/Sprite restores that I've had to do recently. Tried quite a few things to get the reminders to work but to no avail. So, did a search of trusty Modaco and found this thread. I put the phone's clock back by a minute (although I suspect any adjustment would work) and reminders now working perfectly. I've never had this problem before with any of my Smartphones so glad to get it fixed. Perhaps this thread should be a sticky, or at least the info in it kept permanently somewhere for quick & easy reference. Edited May 9, 2005 by fozzie
Guest jberriman Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 I also been experiencing this problem and the 1 minutue time change seems to fix the problem. When reminders break the voicemail notification also seems to break. Has anybody else seen this ? The last time it happened I ended up with 6 voicemails and it took my a few days before I knew what was going on.
