Guest chucky.egg Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I've got a SIM-free SGH-i600, which I expected to be fully unlocked, but I can't move the Start Menu items which appears to mean that it's still partially locked. I've tried following the instructions which worked for my HTC Smartphones, but I cant change those registry entries on the Samsung: start regeditSTG.exe and change the following Registry Keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001001 = 2 -> Change the value data from 2 to 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001005 = 16 -> Change the value data from 16 to 40 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001017 = 128 -> Change the value data from 128 to 144 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Security\Policies\Policies -> Add new value "0000101b": Dword = 1 Anyone know how to do move the Start Menu items (that's all I'm really after, but if it means fully unlocking in the process that's fine) Ta
Guest bradmatejo Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Try these instructions: http://www.modaco.com/Change-Hard-Coded-St...er-t229901.html Worked for me. BJ does need to be app-unlocked.
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Ah, I wasn't very clear was I! Thanks for the link, but what I want to be able to do is create subfolders and move the icons into them. I can't move any icons because they are "system" files
Guest tw Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) Ah, I wasn't very clear was I! I can't move any icons because they are "system" files You can do that if you fully unlock the phone. Just use the good old SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe from NovoMobile to do it: http://wiki.spv-developers.com/SDA_ApplicationUnlock Worked for me. Also I'm using Resco Explorer.
