Application Unlock

Attached is a cab file which should totally application unlock your Vox.

I tested this on my S710. Not sure if it will work on the E650, but I guess so, since the registry should be the same :P

After the installation, reboot your device.

A few things that should be different now:

• You should be able to modify the registry in all its parts
  
• The warning when installing applications of not registered sources should not appear anymore
  
• Unregistered dll files should now work

PS: Maybe someone finds the little txt file I included into the installation .. :D

Paul works with dll's, exe's and something, but I don't understand in anyway what he's doing - and in the end it didn't even work for me.

This cab file just changes 3 registry entries - and that's it. And the best - it works (at least for me, and I hope for the 21 downloaders. They may have reported, but no, I guess they're too lazy... :rolleyes:)

Sorry fella it didn't work for me It wouldn't let it install seems it has to be unlocked to get it unlocked?

you should try the Microsoft Windows Mobile Security Manager here . Works also with WM6

This cab will work depending on the security policy the mobile operator applyed to the device. The same goes for the MS Security Manager. The best bet is a signed reg editor. This will provide you with the manager (god) role over the device, allowing you to change 95% of the reg keys.

grrr! I have tried francetelecom solution. Does not work, just hangs. I have tried the MS tool. I have tried loading the tool.CAB to the phone - it won't let me run it, I have tried running your application unlock CAB here too. Nothing. Jus the usual you are not allowed to run anything. Pauls debrand will not run either. Basically no CAB files will run on my e650. I did manage to get fring to load, which was nice. However when I got this phone i kinda hoped i could run at least a couple of programs.

I had same problem, none of the solutions worked until........

I did the de-brand & fix here SPV E650 de-Brand + Fix Pack 0.5

This includes changing the security settings to match the HTC S710.

Then I ran Paul's RemoveSecurity CAB here Remove S710 application lock / install prompt. I wasn't able to run it before the de-brand&fix but it worked great afterwards.

And this has appeared to work. I haven't tested it extensively but I have installed some things I couldn't install before.

Note: If you don't want to de-brand Paul gives an alternative CAB that just does the fixes.

Note: It may not be nessacery to run the RemoveSecurity CAB as well as the de-brand&fix but I wanted to make sure.

Edit: OOPS just noticed that you say you tried Paul's de-brand, was it the de-brand &fix that you tried?

Sorry for that basic question, how fo I find out if my s710 is locked? I used the Paul cab's for certain registry's which worked. Is the lock related to software installation or else. Thanks for your explainations.
