Actually, HSUPA is missing off most of the spec list... I wonder if the hardware supports it, but the software doesn't yet perhaps?

P

I think the answer you are looking for is in the first post, both HSDPA and HSUPA are supported. By the way, almost 2 years until you make your first post? I hope Paul wasn't going to make you wait so long for an answer. :)

As I wrote in the post, just using the standard camera app with standard settings.

P

thanks for taking these pics paul.

were you using CoolCamera on your C600 or htc camera?

To avoid answering the same question about TouchFlo all over again, here is the situation as I understand it...

- Kaiser will have normal screen, not hardened like the HTC Touch

- Kaiser will have TouchFlo UI elements, like press and slide to scroll etc, but not the fancy 'box' menus

End of message :)

Fine. All I wanted to know was some sort of guideline as to how long the thing lasts on battery power. Never mind. If this is the super device that we all crave, I hope the battery stacks up well (unlike some N95s that I know of...). Looking forward to the release anyway.

Sorry, please understand that wasn't a dig at you, I was just stating that IMO its quite simple to charge the phone every night, whereas some people (not directed at you!) are really anal and for some reason don't like to charge their phone. But yes it would still be interesting to know how long the battery lasts!

Jeez, there's some really noise on this thread. Daft questions like this, and people posting how great this thread is!?!? Can we all just calm down? It's a phone for christ's sake. <_<

WM6 is only just out, and very few devices have had official upgrades. WM7 isn't anywhere near being available from MS yest, nor expected until early 2009 - by which time the devices available will be completely different (and probably all with iPhone-style GUIs :) ).

It's actually a very reasonable question, WM Photon is supposed to be out in the first or second quarter of 2008 (one of the places I've seen this is in the last paragraph of this link), so it might well be out in no more than 6 months.  With 256 ROM/128 RAM, and a 400 processor, I'm betting that the TyTn II will be able to use WM Photon, but it remains to be seen if HTC will offer an upgrade.

Kudos to who can make the best Kaiser minivid perhaps?

Who says 'Photon' won't need a multitouch screen, a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM? Of course it probably won't, but that's the reason why questions such as this are, generally, pointless.

Very little is known about Photon at this point, and even I, as one of the VERY few who have seen early demos of Photon, have no idea whether it will or will not run on existing hardware, or whether it will or won't look like what I saw when it eventually comes to market.

Buy the Kaiser because it runs WM6, don't assume anything with regards to future ugprades. The only reason WM6 is being rolled to so many devices is because it is such an incremental update... I dearly hope the same doesn't hold true for WM7 :)

Hi Paul!

Been following this forum a lot lately, keep up the good work! I've been sucking in as much info as I can get on the TyTN II. Have allready ordered it, so am eagerly awaiting early september for my new baby to come home ;-)

Have been wondering if there is anything known about the headset that will be delivered with it. And than especially if the soundquality is better (in the low range) than the TyTN ones... :) ?

Greetings from Holland!

With my unit at least, it's the same headset!

Same headset.. That should be a bummer....

Actually I dont think it will be the same.. Been looking on the internet, and found these:

htc098177 HTC Touch(P3450) | P4550 Stereo Headset

Anyone with experience with the touch headset in comparison to the TyTN ones??

Any news on the new software Paul? Is the delay in that a possible delay in delivery?

Er, they are seperate keys in their own right in fact?

P

I know that are separate, but they share the same space with the keys i mentioned .. i take it there is no problem with it then

Posted

Maybe this will explain what i mean ..

TyTN softkeys are separte and is not easily pressed my mistake ..

TyTN.jpg

How ever on the TyTN II the softkeys share the same space with other keys

TyTN2.jpg

So i was thinking you may press them by mistake quite often :)

Ah I see.

No, I don't press them by mistake generally, as previously stated, my only complaint with them is their proximity to the screen when it is tilted.

For those who wanted a demo of the Kaiser home screen, here it is.

Points to note...

  • my '6 tab' tweak is installed (which adds the music tab)
  • The bar you see across the top is 'Batti'
  • The device is slowed down somewhat by Pocket Controller, and does the occasional weird thing

Hope it's interesting tho :)
