Guest Emre SUMENGEN Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) have u managed to get it showed up on the upper right corner of the screen? if so, how? thanks Hi everyone, LA-Techno from xda-developers has managed to run HTC TaskManager 2.0 correctly with a quick fix. The original page is here (post 25 and on)... As detail, you can install the cab given here (on post 26 at xda-developers.org) and after soft-reset, insert the below information to the registry... (I used Resco Registry Editor and it all went fine)... Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\ExclusiveList\System] "\Windows\Camera.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\connmgr.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\cprog.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\device.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\filesys.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\folderview.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\gwes.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\NK.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\PTTMgr.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\QuickDail.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\SAPSettings.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\services.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\shell32.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\TaskManager.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\TaskManagerApp.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\TaskManagerLite.exe"=dword:00000000 "\Windows\ScreenRotate.exe"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Lite] "Title"="Camera" "DesiredMemory"=dword:00001000 "Description"="Please stop running some programs and free up about %d KB of memory." Anyways, all credit goes to LA-Techno and fmvl from xda-developers.org, who did find this trick and supplied us with a working cab. I'm just copy-pasting the information for helping people out here... NOTE: I haven't tried running it together with Manila2D, but I guess that can also be possible  NOTE2: Screenshots are coming in short time... (EDIT: Added screenshots, running HTC TaskManager 2.0 on home page and details) Edited December 30, 2008 by Emre SUMENGEN

Guest Frankish Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) From that code how would i go about adding it to the registry? Do i copy the exact text and save it in a certain format? EDIT: Duh me it's simple lol. Done it. EDIT2: Well it works until i start TouchFlo then it just disappears. :) Shame too as i was using a ROM that had this built in and worked with touchflo. Want it bad  Edited December 30, 2008 by Frankish

Guest Frankish Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Do you mean Manila2D? As TouchFlo is the flick-scrolling feature for HTC devices (am I wrong?)... It's Manila2D yeah but in the today options it says Touchflo. When i disable touchflo then the manager doesn't work anymore.
