This works fine however on my dash, so I know it works. Just unable to get it working on my BJII. Here would be what I am looking for. BJII - Model SGHi617 OS: WM6 Condition: New Out of Box. Looking for reg codes to unlock device so I can do software installations. Install cabs/exe so on so forth. Found Files like: secpolicies.cab - is suppoused to unlock. After coping to device with Active Sysc, wouldnt not run. BJ.WM6.ICS.Enable.ics - Enable ICS - After coping to device with Active Sysc, wouldnt not run. MoDaCo.SmartphoneGPSActivator.COM4.CAB -Selfexplanitory - After coping to device with Active Sysc, wouldnt not run. MoDaCo.SmartphoneGPSActivator.COM4.EXE -Selfexplanitory - After coping to device with Active Sysc, wouldnt not run. SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe - (Device Synced) - Said worked, reboot phone. - tried to reapply MoDaCo.SmartphoneGPSActivator.COM4.EXE didnt work. MobileRegistryEditor.zip - Made some modifications to some of the things I read, however after several reboots didnt resolve. Looking for a way to tether phone, and gps. found methods that worked for others, but cant reproduce method. Maybe someone has some reg keys they know for sure I can modify to correct my issue, or some sure proof method that works. Please and Thanks. Even if they do work, they aren't likely to help your cause as they are designed for a different purpose. So do ONLY STEPS 1 & 2! But I'd say try step 1, then 2. However, when you try to shut down the phone using the normal power buttons, it might stop at the "Goodbye" screen. If it does, give it a couple seconds and just pull the battery. Now I have the Blackjack II, and so far I can't even get the thing unlocked. Does the prep CAB that is referred to in the other post really work. I can't even see any CAB files on my phone when browsing with the explorer on the phone I can't see the CAB files. It's probably something stupid. I can connect with MRE (Mobile Registry Editor) and I have made manual changes to the registry that "should" unlock the phone according to: * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies000 1001 = 2 --> Change the value data from 2 to 1 * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies000 1005 = 16 --> Change the value data from 16 to 40 * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies000 1017 = 128 --> Change the value data from 128 to 144 * , but no luck - any ideas would be greatly appreciated. He just got his phone from Rogers. It's locked to Rogers (where my phone was not locked to any carrier) and he gets the "... don't have enough priviledges ...." error when trying to install SNA app unlocker. We managed to install RegEdit on his phone and tried to modify reg values manually but it wouldn't allow us to change 0000105 value. It works now :) and this is what I've done: I simply run http://www.gpcarreon.com/SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip with the phone connected and it reported that it successfully unlocked the device. Then I rebooted the phone. Then I run http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/SDA%20ap...ksAppUnlock.cab right away because I was curious to see if that would work and it did. After that I installed bunch of other apps I wanted (GPSUnlocker, youtube FlashVideoBundle, etc.). I did not have to manually change registry entries. Could someone with a Fido/Canadian BJII confirm if they unlocked their phone using the above method whether or not their GPS still works? If you don't have a way to test it, try using Google Maps, set to detect from windows automatically. Please say whether or not it worked before unlocking and if it works after. Thanks!
