i have tried in the past using an fm transmitter but the quality was really poor.

I have come up with this:

32400623-2-440-overview-1.gif

http://www.wirelessground.com/sa20pinmuado.html

however i ve done some research and found out that it has an m20 pin while the omnia has an s20.

I ve also read that it can charge the phone and be used as a headset at the same time

I am trying to find out if these have any difference.

any ideas???

cheers

The US Verizon Samsung Omnia Comes with a splitter similar to this and can be seen in this video at the 2:00 mark.

Im gettting the US Verizon Omnia in a few weeks and ill keep you guys posted. But this appears to be what everyone was looking for!

I have been looking for a splitter for a while now. I am not skilled enough to make one myself...

With my Trinity I just had to plug one connector in when in my car and it was being charged, I could listen to music etc., all in one step.

In my experience FM transmitters are crap. Bluetooth is fine but you have to think about another device, price, charging etc. I can't believe that all we need is a simple cable splitter and there is nothing there! Arggghhh!

There is real money here for someone starting production!

There is a little different from the picture above and the one in the video. (It has 5 icons instead of 4)

LEFT Port is for AUdio and TV Out and Right for USB & Charging and T0p 2.5mm Audio Jack.

I think this one really made for Omnia and this is what we need

HI

If this works with omnia it should be great!!! do you have any link where we can order it?

cheers

It's an official Samsung accessory:

http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/accesso...btype=headsets#

AAET554CBE

S20-Pin Multi-Adapter

Product ID : AAET554CBEBSTD / Price: $19.99 (in this moment is out of stock)

However, it's designed for the i910 Omnia (the American version), I own a i900 (European/Italian version of the Omnia). Will it work also with mine phone? I can't find it in the italian Samsung web store.

I looked at the verizon site and the only thing that would be similar that I saw that might be simalar was a 2.5mm 3–way Headset Adapter but I dont think that is it.

Yes i think this should work. The only difference that I have found wit the i910 and the i900 is that the i910 doesnt have a front end camera or WIFI and is branded

Good news for everyone:

Order Multiadapter

Looks nice. It's a bit unclear to me, but do I interpret it correctly in it having one 2.5 mm audio output jack (headphones only, no headset i.e. no audio input) and _TWO_ samsung S20 (correct connector name for Omnia?) connections -- one for power, one for headset (i.e. audio output + input).

Any idea of smth similar but for TV i.e. split TV out + charger adapter ?

TIA for the info,

Florian
