Guest grumpy_old_technobyte
after messing w/ friends moto 220, i noticed you could not change phones name through phones settings. i have SMT 5600, and changed its name to ServiceCenter. this is so others will recognize me in bluetooth situations. how can my friend change moto 220's name? Guest kublakhan
Try this.... This will change the "Device Name" in Active Sync. Go into RegEdit and change this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Ident Select 'Values' Select 'Name' (sometimes theres 2, dunno why, just edit any) and change the Value Data to the new name for your phone (no spaces)

Guest furby
Have a feeling you would have found this if settings were similar to C500 (both running wm2003?), but just in case, start-settings-> bluetooth -> BT Setting and alter the device name
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte
thats the problem with 220's. you goto start-settings-bluetooth. there is no BT settings (option #2) after that. this is where i can change my phones name w/ out any fancy 3rd party dohikey's. did motorola slip on this option?
