Guest sajosh Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 excellent app! suggest ... - inserting links to files (txt, html, etc.) that are stored on phone for easy launch - default alarm time is 1 hr (configurable) from current instead of 8am - right scroll (future, past, current, etc.) also include category (configurable) - reminder alarm currently offers dismiss/snooze ... suggest allowing edit of time great job guys.
Guest sajosh Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 also suggest ... - inserting task links to SMS, Email, etc messages - inserting task links to recorded messages or photos (could also be done as file since they are stored files)
Guest Oxios Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 In version 5.10, we will add file links (file://\Storage...)
Guest sajosh Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 cancel the suggestion about the right scroll doing the category because it seems the volume up and down already does that. oops
Guest birlest Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Where can I find a user guide of Oxios To Do List, without being forced to browse all the menus, in order to learn the program? Thanks
Guest fozzie Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 (edited) Where can I find a user guide of Oxios To Do List, without being forced to browse all the menus, in order to learn the program? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I find that's usually the best way to learn how an app works and what the settings do ;) You've tried their website http://www.oxios.com? (or more specifically http://www.oxios.com/tasks/settings.html) Edited April 14, 2005 by fozzie
Guest birlest Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 (edited) A question on Oxios ToDo List It seems that if I mark a task as completed, when I am sync with Outlook on the PC, it stays just a second marked, then disappears and I can't find it with with any views (even "all tasks" or "completed"). Instead I can correctly see through Outlook. If I uncheck the task with Outlook, then I can see it again with Oxios as well. What have I got to properly set, to not make completed tasks disappear when I am sync with Outlook (everything is fine if I don't sync)? Where am I wrong? One more question...is there any way to create sub-categories with Oxios ToDo List? Many thanks for help Edited April 18, 2005 by birlest
Guest Oxios Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 You should change the ActiveSync Options to "Synchronize all tasks": http://www.oxios.com/tasks/smartphone_activesync.html One more question...is there any way to create sub-categories with Oxios ToDo List? No, you can't.
Guest sajosh Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 birlest, although there's no subcategories you could 'simulate' by just suffixing your categories ... work, work - project1, work - project2, home, home - project1, home - project2. probably not what you want but what the hey. ;)
Guest sajosh Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Oxios, great great job on v5. here's a few suggestions for future upgrades ... - since you run some validation rules on the end date why not just fix the problem instead of reporting it to the user. for example, if someone turns on the reminder and the due date is past, why not just default the due date to 'today plus x hr' (or something). because for the most part the user is checking it to reset the reminder. without this the user has to perform many more steps ... set due date to today, go to reminder, check reminder, scroll to reminder time, change hr/min/am/pm. sure there's the occasionaly time when the user checks the reminder by mistake but in those cases they can simple uncheck it and the due date reverts back (nice to have) or simple cancel the edit. - wish there was an easy way to snooze the reminder for x more minutes/hrs like on the main menu where the user could select from 15 min, 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hr, 2 hrs from now. taking this one step further and combining with other bullet above, allow this change even for overdue or future tasks so i can with minimal steps bring an overdue to next due or a future to next due. - if the user presses the volume up in reminder or due date fields and the reminder time is less than now then make the time now plus x hr. in all, great job esp on day selection these suggestions help with reminder time selections. ;)
Guest scrattyrat Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 When i am synced with outlook at work i edit my tasks and their reminders using my desktop pc (faster and easier). However when i edit reminder times using outlook the reminder time is not updated on the phone. Anyone else notice this or have i got some settings configured incorrectly? It would be really nice to be able to edit reminder times through outlook so i can reschedule tasks using my pc.
Guest madmaxedcn Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 (edited) downloaded the trial and boubht it and it came with a difrent folder with the CategoriesIcons like 300..where do i put these if i installit on the sd card orthe phone so i can usethem? Edited July 5, 2005 by madmaxedcn
Guest sajosh Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Another suggestion ... can you add a find feature? perhaps like the smartphone phone book's find where as soon as you begin entering dates the phonebook starts to search for all contacts, incoming and outgoing calls.
Guest margarineoferror Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) I used the trial alpha version for WM5. Anyhow trial time is up, and I want to buy this. Can anyone tell me if I buy the the regular version, I can input the same registration key for the alpha version for WM5? I emailed Oxios, but they taking their sweet time answering. Guest Oxios Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 It would be really nice to be able to edit reminder times through outlook so i can reschedule tasks using my pc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are right, but the bug comes from ActiveSync not from our application. In Outlook (PC), you can set any time for the task reminder. But when this task is synchronized to the Smartphone, ActiveSync sets the reminder time to 8:00. Oxios ToDo List is able to reset the task reminder to the time set on Outlook for all tasks except those task reminders that are on the due date (in this case the reminder time set on Outlook is lost by ActiveSync during the synchronization). This setting is in Menu / Settings / ActiveSync The bug is fixed wit Windows Mobile 5.0 downloaded the trial and boubht it and it came with a difrent folder with the CategoriesIcons like 300..where do i put these if i installit on the sd card orthe phone so i can usethem? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I the same folder as the application. For more information, use Reload Icons in the Categories dialog. Another suggestion ... can you add a find feature? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Search... could be found in the View menu. I used the trial alpha version for WM5. Anyhow trial time is up, and I want to buy this. Can anyone tell me if I buy the the regular version, I can input the same registration key for the alpha version for WM5? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We've just released version 6.0 Top new features:
Guest margarineoferror Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 (edited) I purchased To Do List recently. Very good program. I Edited May 22, 2006 by margarineoferror
Guest Oxios Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 1. I sort my tasks by reminder time and it works fine, but on the regular program window I
Guest margarineoferror Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Well ok... as workaround I just put the time in the subject for the tasks that I have recurring. When I said personalize columns, I meant choosing what informations about the task shows in the main screen. I guess it's a bit much I starting to feel the need for a pocket pc, sooner or later I think I'm gonna ditch my smartphone
