Guest mrxray Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Verizon did me a _favor_ by replacing my Smartphone 2002 Samsung i600 with another i600 with Smartphone 2003 on it. Now I can longer configure my start menu, and some 3rd party software that I put on the old phone won't work on the new. After reading what seem to be hundreds of posts on related matters (including "Cannot edit the start menu of my SPV c500", started by Johnny_blaze on this site) it would appear that my problem is that Verizon has doing some sort of "OTA Lock" or "Application Lock." Most of the posting run along the lines of "oh you should unlock it" "Ah that seemed to fix it." Unfortunately I cannot seem to find the special knowledge required to perform just such a task. (Nor can I find the magic GPRS enable on MSN that johnny_blaze discovered that made his problem go away.) I know I must be blind, but after several hours of searching, I’ve timed out, and now I’m asking for someone please to help me get control back of my phone. Thanks -Ken
