Settings by Network <- click Settings by Country <- click Internet service over the GPRS network If your mobile network operator offers GPRS internet and you are subscribed to this service then the following Internet setup is all that is required. Settings-Data Connections Menu-Edit Connections GPRS connections Menu-Add Description: GPRS Internet Connects to: The Internet Access point: (internet APN) User name: (username) Password: (Password) Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: IP address: In Settings - Data connections Internet Connection: GPRS Internet In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections Untick 'Auto detect settings' Set 'Select network: 'The Internet' WAP service over the GPRS network. The GPRS WAP service usually includes the use of WAP proxy server and in many cases the network operator may force the use of their proxy server for internet access. Settings-Data Connections Menu-Edit Connections GPRS connections Menu-Add Create GPRS connection. Description: GPRS WAP Connects to: The Internet Access point: (WAP APN) User name: (username) Password: (password) Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: IP address: Done Done Create Proxy connection Description: WAP Proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP network Proxy (name:port): (WAP proxy IP address):8080 Type: HTTP Username: Password: In Settings - Data connections WAP connection: GPRS WAP In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections Untick 'Auto detect settings' Set 'Select network: WAP network' Optional port address can be applied to the proxy settings and these are usually port 9201, 8080 or 80 WAP 1.x = (proxy address):9201, Type=WAP WAP 2.x = (Proxy address):8080, Type=HTTP WAP 2.x = (Proxy address):80, Type=HTTP
