Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 It's on the way... I think it depends on imei-check getting an XDA2i  P
Guest Gorskar Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Its nice to have the service available and I apreciate the effort that's gone into developing the service, but even so... for £15 you can get T-mobile to give you an unlock code directly (eg for the T-mobile MDA compact) I do appreciate that there is a wait for this though (you need to be at least 1 month into your contract), but still.....
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Many operators don't let you do anything unless you pay off your whole contract... P
Guest boyo69 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Hi Paul where are the details you refer to ??? I can't see where to follow the 'instructions' regards Mark

It also helps me with unlocking the phone :D hope to hear form you: [email protected]
Guest Pondrew Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Hello florin_m, I can also test it for a Dutch T-Mobile MDA Compact if you want? They must presumably be sure the unlock works for MDA Compact/HTC Magician and for MDA III/HTC Blue Angel. You know you can 'test' it all you like if you pay IMEI-check £20!
Guest jpmadsen Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 It's a pinned topic in the 'MoDaCo Plus' area... P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK I have paid my £20 but still cannot find MoDaCO plus area or instructions. Help
Guest Pondrew Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 OK I have paid my £20 but still cannot find MoDaCO plus area or instructions. Help   <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you noticed the word 'PLUS' appear in the top left of your screen (when you look at Modaco in Internet Explorer)? If not maybe for some reason you're not being recognised as a plus member (although your profile says you are...). The Plus Forum is visable to Plus members only and if I remember right it displays as the last Forum in the Forum page...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 O2 XDA IIi support now added! P
Guest shanedean Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 (edited) ,Feb 18 2005, 10:28]O2 XDA IIi support now added! P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dont't wanna sound like a tight ar#e, but will this be available to everyone on Monday(ish) for £20 and will it be posted with link or something here? £44 for unlock ( taking into account Modaco Plus membership ) is bit steep and not sure what advantage this would be to a PPC owner ( all benefits seem to be aimed at smartphone users :( ) Unless of course they'd like to 'test' it on my 2i  Edited February 18, 2005 by shanedean
Guest shanedean Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Is 2i unlock available to all yet? Need to unlock so I can flog my M1000 on ebay!
Guest jpmadsen Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 yes, see message from Paul on the 15th, top of page. Is 2i unlock available to all yet? Need to unlock so I can flog my M1000 on ebay! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest shanedean Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Paul points out that unlock is available to Modaco Plus members on the 15th and that it will be available to everyone else in 1 weeks time. So I am asking if that 1 week is up yet and can non-plus members get it now. If so where? Thanks for your reply anyhow
Guest MitchellO Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Many operators don't let you do anything unless you pay off your whole contract... P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the way it is in australia, although we typically don't have out handsets locked when bought on a contract. They are normally locked for prepaid (all carriers except Vodafone). I had to buy AU$85 CREDIT to unlock mine, but I got to use that in calls. But, for operators that don't this would be a good service!!
