Hi There,

Yes I did have a search before posting this but I just cannot seem to connect to the internet via my WIFI router (Belkin 54g)

It says it is connected to the network but I cannot browse. I read some similar posts but cannot find the settings people have referred to.

If anyone has a step by step for a complete idiot it would be humbly appreciated.

:?:

Many thanks

I use an ADSL Router with a wifi access point attached to it.......... i find the only way to get connected is if i manually enter an IP address in the wifi settings on my pda............

i use Belkins for work, the range starts with the router which is generally 192.168.2.1 for belkin.............net mask 255.255.255.0

so, unless you have other wifi devices, name your pda 192.168.2.2 and you should be ok.............after you have changed the settings, you will need to turn off wifi and then turn back on again

its a pain i know, i regularly use BTOpenzone hotspots and that means altering the settings back to DHCP auto assign by server.............but it does work for me

hope it works for you

I have chewed one already and its back in charging now  .

So glad I didn't opt for the Sony Ericsson P910. Its a great piece of kit.

Thanks again for the help, thought I was gonna have to call OCS (Arrrgh)

Any recommendations for useful little apps I should be getting for my new bit of electronic jewelry??

Cheers
