Guest ddieter Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I just discovered the other day that you can't select WMA sounds to use for your Alarm! (I've never been accused of being overly bright). Well that sucks! Why can you use WMA files for ringtones but not alarm sounds?!? Seems stupid to me. So instead I'm using a 5mb WAV file which has been copied onto the memory of my phone (as you also can't select sounds from the SD card). Can anybody confirm whether any other sound format can be used for alarm sounds? Now I might be mistaken, but surely it must be a fairly easy tweak to get windows mobile to recognise WMA files for other sound options other than just ringtones. Are there any talented or resourceful programmers on this site up for the challenge?
Guest influenz Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Hi, Yeah, I found this default setup very annoying and frankly puzzling !! Check out this thread where we've been unpicking these settings ... http://www.modaco.com/deleting_default_sou...es-t202124.html There are both simple and more complex answers to this problem but not yet an app to do it all for you.. ;-]
