;) Hi,

I tried severel times to hard reset my mpx 200, full charged i pressed the power and the blue button, but nothing happened. The screen remains black. I removed the battery and have waited five minutes and tried againe. Everytime the same, nothing happened. Whats going wrong? What should happen after pressing the power and blue button?

Can anybody help?

That sounds bad. When you press the power and blue button the screen should light up and say "Master Reset Yes or No".

Moved to Help & Advice.

It's tricky and can take a lot of goes to get it to work. I would suggest you keep trying. It took me several days of attempts to hard reset mine

let me guess..

you tried to flash the wm2003, and it froze on transfer..

then it never went back on..

i got that problem too.. all black, nothing happens.

I think that it is done for..

The only option that might work is opening the phone and removing the internal battery. I think it is there to keep the bios alive and you might be able to reset the bios that way.

If the situation is as I think it is, you do not get any reponse fromn your mpx200, right?

That means that the bios is fried.. It nologer recognises your configuration.

Basicly, your phone is a goner..

Very sad to hear. I wonder why that happens.. Same thing happened to mine basicallyh..... Guys I think its a good idea not to buy Smartphones, a phone is a phone and that appz on it aren't really a big deal... u invest so much money and then it breaks.....

1 of my SMT5600s broke, it woulnd't start up or nothing, hard restet wouldn't work either, I had to send it into audiovox, then they replaced it cuz they couldn't fix it and they sent me a locked one and had to pay shipping and more money 50$ cnd to unlock it.. these phones rn't worth it... maybe when a proper phone with all the bells and whistles comes out should u buy it, like the MPX but even better with integrated GPS & lighter/smaller handset... remember guys dont push ur phone to hard.. mine I think broke from a mallicious program... which u should shouldn't security unlock ur phone sinces malicious programs may take advantage of that.

BE CAREFUL

You say 'don't buy a Smartphone' but then go on to explain that you fried your phone with 'malicious program.'

The suggestion above is that the MPx200 was destroyed by an illegal unapproved ROM.

Surely the conclusion here is that you shouldn't mess up your phone with bad software.

You can't blame the Smartphone platform for that.
