Installed ActiveSync 4, and now I can't use USB

Hi folks,

Determined to get ActiveSync going over Bluetooth, I followed the PDF guide on this 'ere forum. I can get AS to recognise the connection, which was progress, but when trying to sync from the phone, i get the following message:

"Synchronisation cannot start because this desktop computer cannot access necessary information..."

I have tried restarting etc, but still get the same message. Determined to get my C500 to sync up, I tried plugging in the USB cable thinking AS would pick it up as normal. It won't, and now my phone can't sync either way.

Any ideas on what to try? If I can get Bluetooth working, allowing me to browse the web on my C500 through Bluetooth sharing my PC's broadband, I will be a happy man :-)

Cheers,

Matt

May be worth trying to delete the partnership then create a new one when prompted to. Did you install Activsync before plugging the phone in when you first had it or did you try and connect the phone first, as this can cause problems.

Well I had it working on USB with AS 3.8 (i think!). I then upgraded to 4.0 and decided to give Bluetooth connection a go. I've tried deleting the partnership and recreating it - it doesn't pick up the C500 though. The connection setup dialog just says "Device not found" even though USB is down as "Available".

Any ideas?

Matt
