Vario stock at mobileshop.com

Hi

Has anyone bought an MDA Vario on T-Mobile from mobileshop.com since last Thursday, 17th November, and received it?

I passed their credit check on Saturday and was told I would receive a Vario from their stock being delivered last Monday. Every day I've been told the delivery hasn't arrived but was expected "tomorrow". Last night a mobileshop.com supervisor told me their delivery is now not coming at all, and claims T-mobile are refusing to send them the 10 Vario handsets they were expecting last Monday. She literally said "T-mobile have probably sent our stock to a bigger retailer such as Carphone Warehouse".

They do expect to get some more in maybe 2 weeks time. That's not long, but I ordered mine a week ago already and really need it for work and the charity I run.

I should say their customer service staff have been polite, but I just find it hard to believe their stock has been pulled, and it's crossed my mind that maybe they just don't want to fulfil the 18 months all half price (via cashback) offer I bought (which has since disappeared). This hasn't filled me with confidence that I'll get the 4 cashbacks during the contract period either.

So if you've bought a Vario from mobileshop.com, on any tariff at all, I'd be really grateful if you would please post urgently and say when exactly you ordered it, when it was delivered, and the deal you got. I know Veef got one last Friday... anyone else?

Please help, I feel I'm being mucked about and don't know where I stand.

Thanks as ever

I ordered mine from mobileshop on Thursday, got credit checked on Friday and received it on Saturday 18/11.

I just scraped in on the '18 months at half price' deal. They sent all the vouchers so I definitely got the full reduction.

Unfortunately the handset was one of the faulty ones that does not ring on standby (discussed in another thread) and had to go back.

It sounds as if I might have to wait for a replacement. I'll phone up in a couple of days time to check.

Zoltix, if you get a mo, please call them ASAP. I'd LOVE to hear what they tell you. And if you get a replacement handset anytime in the next 2-3 days, I'd be thrilled :) for you and livid  at the same time.

You see, they've told me they won't be getting any until after 5th December and they don't know when after that exactly - so I'm sorry to say I think you're without a phone for weeks. So please do post what they tell you.

Thanks

Are they offering a much better deal than T-Mobile? I got my phone next day from T-Mobile.

They were offering, and I bought, a free Vario with Web & Walk 200 half price line rental (£19) for all 18 months of the contract. So that saves £66 over the contract compared to T-mobile telesales.

It's not the biggest sum in the world compared to the £00s some people spend on here buying SIM-free handsets, but a) it's not a saving I want to throw away and :) I feel a bit like I've been "had" and want to be sure before I give up on it.

i phoned mobileshop & they told me they were expecting stock 5th december but wern'tsure if the deals were availble on te new stock.

i went into my local t-mobile shop the othere day & got web7 walk 0n self serve for £13 for the first 12 months & the handset price was £70.

be aware that at the mo they are not dispalying the vario on the shelves ( well at my local shop) & you have to ask for the deals but iam well happy.
