Its a new year and a new plugin - madbeetle have developed a new animated homescreen plugin, plus a homescreen designer thats lets you create the animations, layout the plugins and animations on the homescreen, and build the cab.

The new addition to the plugin is it can overlay other plugins, so you can get better layouts, and have more than one animation on a screen. Plus it runs quicker.

The homescreen tool is for QVGA phones only.

The plugin is backwards compatable, and works on non QGVA and QVGA 2003 & 2005.

tryed it as well , finally a homscreen with my bunny on it ;)

one thing that was missing is the plugins from the sp5 , the wifi one is the one i find most usefull, but it works and finally gives the qvga phones a homescreen again :D

Tried it. Brilliant. Can do standard (non animated) screens too using pic of your choice and colour schemes as per Ruttensoft. Would like the LCD plug-in as used on the French sites maybe, other than that this is what everyone has been looking for. Excellent. ;) :D

I'll add the wifi plugin if its a standard plugin on sp5. Are there any other standard ones on SP5 that have been missed ?

the standard plugins on a sp5 are the wireless and msn , not many also the fizz traveller plugin would be handy as well ;) great app :D

This really looks awesome! Finally it's "worth" paying for (IMHO)

Unfortunately I'm stuck with teh Qtek 8100 for a few more days (until 8310 lands in my lap) .. so wont be able to play with it just yet!

I'm too lazy to make the xml fit my small resolution!!

Here is the ani (if it attached OK?), download the tool and have a go. Just keep it simple and might work ok on a low res device.

If you have the beta installed then uninstall it before installing new new version.

To uninstall it correctly

[1] Select a non animated homescreen

[2] Turn the device off & on again

[3] Uninstall the plugin

[4] Reinstall the new version

There were some problems with the upload of the files to the madbeetle site . Just try downloading the homebuilder again.

It was the same with the example animation files but the developer was aware of the problem so I imagine it sohuld be ok now.

I would like to know if this is possible too. I guess you would have to be able to separate the frames somehow :rolleyes:
