...I went over to The Dark Side two months ago and bought a Sony-Ericsson K750i. The camera capabilities (see attached piccies) and battery life are the dog's b*ll*cks, but I miss my old Windows Mobile. I *think* I'd like the Samsung s300ix (4GB drive? oh yeah) but it seems folks here are having nightmares with battery life and the thing shutting down for no apparent reason.

- the wife already said she will have my SE K750i ;) so I don't need to wait another 10 months, though this might be prudent?

I would like your advice folks - if you had a free hand, what would YOU get?

I love my SP5m. I also hate the looks of the new Samsung Smartphones....all of the old ones for that matter as well.

Also, what was the purpose of the two photo attachments?

Err, the piccies were to demonstrate how "dogs bollocks" K750i camera is. Was that not clear? sorry about that. I will look at the SP5m. Ta for the heads up.

I have a HTC Prophet (Dopod 818 Pro) on the way, with 2MP camera, and the camera is allegedly pretty decent for a Windows Mobile device.

WM5, WiFi G, 2MP camera, SD slot, yummy!

I still like my SP5 it does everything i want it to do at the moment , looked at the SP5M but thought it was too much like my C550 to warrent an upgrade , so went for the SP5 instead , depends what you want really a music phone ( sp5m ) or a normal looking phone ( sp5 ) ;)

The HTC Prophet looks more like an O2 XDA than a mobile but yeah, WM5 and all the other gubbins makes it a pretty smart bit of kit. The O2 XDA Executive looks nice, though a bit too big for the pocket. Let's hope there's a major breakthrough with battery life for Windows Mobile pretty soon.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh I think I'm gonna have to stick the the SE K750i and hold off for now - too many nice things like 3 and 4 MP cameras on the near horizon.

How's about you letting me have one of your old cast-offs until I make me mind up and buy my own? ;)

My girlfriend has the Sony K750i and I have to admit it is pretty good especially the camera, what sets it apart is the auto-focus system. It also has some other lovely touches. However, I have a SP5 and really it's a world away. One is a mobile phone and the other is a computer. ;)

I cant really offer you phone choosing advice as i have the c550

I know, I used to have an MPX200. Any improvement in battery life with WM5? (must get round to changing my signature one of these days!)
