Guest roadwise Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 I am using t-Mobile Mda Vario with Microsoft voice command (highly recommended) I have a Motorola Hs820 Headset which supports voice dialling. but always uses the voice speed dial that comes with the phone is there any way I can force the headset to activate Microsoft voice command instead
Guest NightFox Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Sorry, not an answer to your question, but another question I'd be very grateful if you could answer for me... Does the “what are my appointments for tomorrow?” or “what is my calendar for tomorrow?” work on your Wizard? I have MS Voice Command (v1.5 – UK) installed on my O2 XDA Mini, and everything works fine apart from this function – it just stalls it. I’ve tried the app on my PDA, and that works fine, so I’d be interested to know if there was an issue with the Wizard here, or if it is just my setup. Thanks for your help!
Guest Rob.P Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Roadwise - from what I can gather nobody has been able to get that function to work. I have tried getting a voice dial tag added to MS voice command but due to the way the program works you can't do that. Nightfox - works for me, haven't had any probs with the suggested voice commands in the help document of the prog. If you haven't already try varying your distance from the mic and vary your background noise, might help, might not.

It works fine when I've got no appointments, i.e. "You have no appointments", it only fails if I actually have appointments. I did find some suggestion that the date format you used could cause problems, but I've tried every variation, and this works fine on my Windows Mobile 2003 iPaq. Are you using the UK version?
Guest mini_man Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 have you tried bluetunes (search the forum) it transmits audio to the headset and i think it also does microphone

At the moment it will run sddialer.exe. Just need to change this to voicecmd.exe. HKLM>Software>OEM>VoiceCommand I renamed the key Path to Path_old I entered a new key called Path and set the Valuedata to \Program Files\Voice Command\voicecmd.exe Now when I press the button on my Bluetooth headset (Mine is a Jabra) it triggers off voice command and I tell it who to call. Voila. Hope this helps. I had the same problem as you myself.

Guest tbird2340 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Does this registry change work for all phones? I have a Verison vx6700 and I'm trying to get voice dialing over BT working.. Is that registry key (HKLM\Software\OEM\Voicedial) only for your phone? Or does that key get created when installing MSFT Voice Command? Thanks
Guest jezza1 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 This is a really helpful thread - having tried and failed to get voice dial over Bluetooth going on my last handset (M2000 / Blue Angel) it's great news that MS Voice Command works on the Vario. Does that registry key change also point the Voice Speed Dial button (right hand side of phone, near the top) at MS Voice Command? Or is there something else you need to do? jezza
Guest jezza1 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 (doh, I've now found Settings/Buttons) jezza
Guest Rob.P Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) Thanks sbsdegb1, ever since I made the reg key change, life with my wizard has been bliss. Not only can I now use voice command, all from a click of a button on my Jabra, but it also allows me to change whether I want the sound from my wizard to come from it's speakers or to go through the headset instead. Which is damn handy for when I have people in the car and I'm using TomTom, least I can still listen to John Cleese's instructions while people in the car chat away and listen to the radio (just don't forget about the feature when your on a long straight motorway, cause when the voice does kick in with an instruction it scared the hell out of me :) ). Guest adudley Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Hi all, I found this to make the registry key change for you :) to use microsoft voice command with bluetooth activation (button) then go here http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=5734 and here http://www.burling.co.nz/Default.aspx?tabid=150 Now I have a whole new question.. I want the sound to come out of the AUX output, but to talk to it thru blutooth... I like to change my music etc do you know if this will work ok, i.e. Phone-->HeadphoneSocket-->my car stereo <----------bluetooth<---------- my commands
Guest adudley Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 for those interested, with the following links to my phone, this happens Phone-->Headphone socket-->car stereo Phone<-->bluetooth<-->blueteck G2n bluetooth version 1.1 with ms voice command enabled on the click of the button (which only works the very very first time after a soft reset at the mo) using the following software thingy: http://www.burling.co.nz/Default.aspx?tabid=150 Calls work fine on the BT, and the sound comes out of the car stero, almost perfect, just need to get it working every time.. a hard reset me thinks. will let you know, surely I'm not the only one who uses my Wizard as an mp3 player? as an aside, anybody know how long I've gotta wait for 4gb miniSDs?
Guest willgonz Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Does anyone know if you can make this work with a wired headset. Mine has a button to answer calls etc. But it would be nice if it did voice command.

I am desperate to get tomtom to put it's instructions through bluetooth any help would be appreciated If I remember rightly using my Jabra headset it would cycle the sound just by pressing the button on my headset. One click tom tom through headset, click again and tom tom via phones speakers. Haven't tried it for a while as I am now using a bluetooth hands free mirror. Fantastic bit of kit. Might try to see if I can get tom tom to come through that.
Guest minty1978 Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 yup works like a charm, thanks for the reg entry !!

Hi, I have a MDA Vario with Jabra BT205. at the moment when I press the button on my headset it allow me to do voicedial using the default software SDDialer.exe. Is there a way to route TomTom instruction to my headset without changing the registry to use MS VoiceCommand? Does MS VoiceCommand work with voice tags? (most of my contacts are none English) Thanks in advance

Guest Happy Dave Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 has anyone still got the CAb file for that bit of software Voice Enabler? It doesn't appear to be downloadable off the website anymore thanks

(most of my contacts are none English) Thanks in advance Ms Voice command doesn't use voice tags. It tries to recognise your contacts with voice recognition. Therefore you don't have to set up any voice tags. Works a treat. You don't need Voicecommand to get Tom Tom through your Jabra headset.
