How to set new bootscreens

NOTE this guide was created for 2002 OS for 2003 replace IPSM with Storage

Using a registry editor create some a new key and its values in the registry. You can change the path for the files but put them in IPSM.

1- HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen

create the Splash Screen key: put the cursor on any key in the directory "microsoft" then clic on "menu" -> "new key" : call it Splash Screen. Then enter this key: clic on it. Now go to the "values mode" to create new values: clic on 'values'.Then you can follow:

2- CarrierBitmap : IPSMBootimage1.gif (Image GIF 176x220 256 colors - String Type)

Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"string" : the value name is 'CarrierBitmap' and the 'value data' is your file path 'IPSMetc...'

3- CarrierShutdownBitmap

4- MSBitmap

5- MSShutdownBitmap

6- CarrierShutdownTimeout : 2000 (DWord Type)

Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"Dword" and fill...

7- MSShutdownTimeout : 15000 (DWord Type)

Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"Dword" and fill...

Last:quit the registry and restart
