Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 They appeared, disappeared, and now they're BACK to stay! iMate have released the much anticipated AKU2 updates for their SP5 / SP5m HTC Tornado based devices. You can grab them from the Club iMate Web or FTP sites. Enjoy... now we await only the JAMin update from iMate! ;) P
Guest Pagemakers Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) There are 2 English versions, both with slightly different version numbers! Which one do we use? Edited March 22, 2006 by Pagemakers
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I believe the NRE is the one to use if you want UK English. I'm flashing it now, so will confirm shortly. P
Guest Pagemakers Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Which one is the NRE version? I downloaded the one at the top of the list. Will both versions display E for Edge?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Confirmed: downloading the NRE version will give you UK English (only US English in the WWE version). Link: http://www.clubimate.com/t-DEVICE_SP5_LNK4.aspx Enjoy! ;) P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Interestingly, frame support in PIE is listed as an improvement? Can anyone verify? P

Where in the imate download list is the UK English edition - the top one or the one below?
Guest Pagemakers Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Interestingly, frame support in PIE is listed as an improvement? Can anyone verify? P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup. It works brilliantly. I wonder if when wifi is enabled and the phone is 'sleeping' if it uses wifi to dialup for email polling or if it still uses GPRS.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Er, on the FTP, it's the one with NRE in the filename, and on the website it's the bottom of the 3 updates. P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Interestingly that 'naughty unlock solution' seems to work on this update, unlock on the C600. P
