Oh and something else thats quite intresting that i noticed whilst it was doing the update is that on the canary 3 color screen it changes from USB to Serial depending on if its in the cradle or not, maybe their is a way to connect to it via usb? Ignore me if you've seen it but there's an explanation for all the possible commands on XDA-Developers' bootloader page. It is from here that one should be able to access the SID unlock code, which means that one could take off the lock which stops non-Orange sims being used.
