Guest MachineAI Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I've just upgraded my system from 98SE to XP, and now I can't get my ActiveSync to connect to my SPV. It'll connect, and does everything, but it registers my phone as 'Guest', and I can't seem to set it to work as normal. Any Ideas?!
Guest blewer Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Have you tried setting up a new partnership? Posted from my E200!
Guest MachineAI Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Sorry to sound stupid, but how do I do that? Thanks
Guest kjk Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 open activsync click on file and choose deletepatnreship. then connect your phone to computre and it will ask you to creat new patnership then choose a stander partnership not a guestpartnership
Guest blewer Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Open active sync (without syncing your phone) go to FILE then make sure you select your device. You are probably best to delete that partnership which is also under FILE. Next time you sync your phone it should set up a connection wizard. Posted from my E200! EDIT kjk beat me to it.
Guest MachineAI Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 It won't come up with the new partnership wizard. Any ideas? I have deleted the old one, but nothing is happening!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Did you install XP from a clean install, or just as an update? I'm wondering if you may have to uninstall activsync and reinstall again. Have a look at this post in the Articles section. http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=142
Guest MachineAI Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 I've reinstalled activesync and started again, but, nooooO!! It still won't accept my phone, it connects, but won't give me the partnership wizard! and yes, I did just do an update!
