Guest davo141 Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 i wasjust wondering if people knew that the t9 dictionary on the e200 does actually save words? i ahven't checked these forums alot.. but most reviews i have read point out that the t9 doesn't save words.. but it does, i know how to get it to :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 The e100 had (and still has) massiove problems keeping manual t9 entries, with the custom dictionary getting wiped for n oreason every week or so. I've not actually got an e200 so can't vouch for it being fixed in 2003...
Guest skanna Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 T9 words are stored in the file mst9.udb file in IPSM/Application data/system file. Copy this to your pc via activsync and open with Excel, the words will appear in the first and possibly second cell. Copy contents of each cell to clipboard and paste onto notepad. All the stored words will appear, separated by system characters. It may be possible to add to this list but the easiest way to store the words is by creating a draft email with all your words. Then if the phone forgets, just bring up the draft and postpone again. The words will be remembered. This is for the SPV
Guest davo141 Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 with the e200.. its simple. type using the t9. and if you try and type a word which isn';t there.. then just change back to 'abc' mode, and then manually type the word in. then go back to t9, and it'll now allow you to type it in :) i was just making sure that people knew this.
